Products and business

An electrical goods shop (signboard: Kedai Barangan Elektrik) with a lighting and fan showroom. Its Facebook page calls it a 'wholesale and supply shop' and a 'supplier & distributor of electrical accessories, cables, fittings, control items, fans, water heater', and also advertises emergency lights and kitchen stoves; its website says it served contractors, projects and trade customers before also selling to households. Photos the shop posted on its Google Maps listing (two taken in March 2024, the others undated) show switch-plate displays and boxed stock on shelves labelled AvatarOn and, less legibly, Zencelo and Vivace (Schneider switch ranges), a wall of Philips lamp boxes under a Philips banner, decorative pendants, outdoor and gate-post lanterns with price cards, Duralux LED panels, stand fans and a Fanco ceiling-fan carton; it also posted a Livinox water-heater display whose location the photo doesn't show. Two photos by a Google Maps contributor show KDK, Panasonic, Khind, Fujibin, AireGard and Fanco fan cartons, Nikkon 200 W LED floodlight boxes and a Rinnai water-heater display. Its website lists 800 products with specifications and no prices: switches and sockets (Simon 212, ArtDNA 188, Nezens 10), ceiling fans (Rezo, Fiero, Regair, Inovo, Deka+), KDK general and ventilating fans (79) and lighting (YET 43, Panasonic 24).

Brands

Listed by the brand: Philips (Philips Lighting Malaysia where-to-buy list, retail stores, at No. 91A Jalan 20/7). KDK's own Selangor dealer locator lists it as a dealer; its website banner reads 'Authorized KDK distributor in Malaysia', which KDK's locator neither confirms nor contradicts. Seen at the shop: Schneider (shelves labelled with Schneider switch ranges in the shop's own interior photo; a 'Life Is On' pillar and a 'sold here' sticker at the door that were already there when the unit was SW Electric's) and Philips (lamp wall under a Philips banner). Siemens: Top Dynasty Holdings, a Siemens wiring-accessory wholesaler, announced a Siemens switch and socket display board at the shop on Facebook on 22 January 2025 (Relfa, Peleus and Seata ranges). The signboard's brand strip includes Fujibin, Rank, Duralux, KDK, Panasonic and EPS. Its website catalogue covers Simon, ArtDNA, Rezo, KDK, Fiero, YET, Regair, Panasonic, Inovo, Deka+ and Nezens; a Facebook fan promotion names KDK, Houm, Cosgo, Inovo, Fanco and Elba. Schneider's, Hager's, Maxguard's and CHINT's published lists don't name it.

A different company from KW Electric & Lighting; we found no company record or public statement linking the two.

Online

Website kwelectric.lighting: 800 products with specifications, no prices (enquiry form and WhatsApp); every product is marked 'in stock', apparently a site-wide setting rather than a stock check. Facebook facebook.com/kwelsb (about 1,000 followers; a post shared on 17 October 2026). Instagram @kw_electric.lighting (seen in a search result). We didn't check Shopee or Lazada.

Reviews

4.8 from 27 Google reviews (18 October 2026). Recent reviews praise patient explanations of downlight options in a 'relatively small' shop with many lighting options (May 2026) and a showroom of various products and brands (August 2026); an interior designer writes that the shop arranged delivery of designer switches and lighting from PJ to a job site in Singapore (May 2025).

What it supplies

Listed by the brand: Philips names KW Electric & Lighting on its Malaysian where-to-buy list as a retail store (list checked 8 October 2026). The list row gives No. 91A, Jalan 20/7, and a mobile number, 012-306 8398, that the shop’s other channels don’t show. KDK’s own Selangor dealer locator lists the shop as a dealer at No. 89. KW’s website banner reads “Authorized KDK distributor in Malaysia”; KDK’s locator doesn’t say whether the shop is a distributor. A brand listing supports the relationship, not stock of every product.

Seen at the shop: photos the shop posted on its Google Maps listing (two taken in March 2024, the others undated) show:

• Switches and sockets: switch-plate displays and boxed stock on shelves labelled AvatarOn and, less legibly, Zencelo and Vivace, which are Schneider switch ranges.
• Philips lighting: a wall of Philips lamp boxes under a Philips banner.
• Lighting: decorative pendants, outdoor wall and gate-post lanterns with price cards, and Duralux LED panels.
• Fans: stand fans and Fanco ceiling fans.

The shop also posted a photo of a Livinox water-heater display, which doesn’t show where it was taken. Two photos by a Google Maps contributor show cartons of KDK, Panasonic, Khind, Fujibin, AireGard and Fanco fans, Nikkon LED floodlights and a Rinnai water-heater display. Another contributor’s shopfront photo shows a Philips board above the shop and a Schneider “Life Is On” pillar beside the door, both already there when the unit was SW Electric’s (see below). The signboard’s brand strip includes Fujibin, Rank, Duralux, KDK, Panasonic and EPS.

In January 2025, Top Dynasty Holdings, a Siemens wiring-accessory wholesaler, announced on Facebook a new Siemens switch and socket display board at the shop, naming the Relfa, Peleus and Seata ranges. We saw no cable or circuit breakers in the photos, although the Facebook page mentions cables and control items. Schneider’s, Hager’s, Maxguard’s and CHINT’s published dealer lists don’t name the shop.

On its website: kwelectric.lighting lists 800 products with specifications but no prices:

• Switches and sockets: Simon (212), ArtDNA (188) and Nezens (10).
• Ceiling fans: Rezo, Fiero, Regair, Inovo and Deka+.
• KDK fans: 79 general and ventilating fans.
• Lighting: YET and Panasonic.

Every product is marked “in stock”, apparently a site-wide setting rather than a stock check. The Facebook page also advertises emergency lights and kitchen stoves, and a fan promotion names KDK, Houm, Cosgo, Inovo, Fanco and Elba.

Buying and contact

There are no online prices. Ask for a quotation through the website form or by WhatsApp. The website gives 010-267 5501 for calls and WhatsApp, and the Facebook page uses the same WhatsApp number. Facebook posts add two more WhatsApp numbers, 011-1111 1913 and 016-217 6651. The landline is 03-7877 9897, and the email address is [email protected]. One reviewer, an interior designer, says the shop arranged delivery of switches and lighting from PJ to a job site in Singapore. We didn’t check Shopee or Lazada.

Visiting

Google Maps, the website and the Facebook page give Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, closed on Sunday. The shop’s Instagram bio, seen in a search result (we didn’t open the profile), gives longer weekday hours, 8:30am to 8:30pm, so call ahead if you plan to arrive early or late. The shop is the end unit of the row, beside the KDK “Fans For Life!” fascia on the next unit.

Google shows 4.8 from 27 reviews (18 October 2026). Recent reviews praise patient explanations of downlight options in a “relatively small” shop with many lighting options (May 2026) and a showroom of “various products/brands” (August 2026).

Not to be confused with SW Electric. Until at least August 2020 this end unit was the shop of Syarikat See Wide Letrik Sdn Bhd (世威電器, with 1974 on its logo), which was renamed SW Electric Sdn Bhd and signed as “A Sonepar Company”. Google Maps still shows an “SW Electric Sdn Bhd” listing at No. 89 with the phone 03-7875 7200 and its own hours, but its photos stop in 2020. We don’t know whether that number still reaches anyone at No. 89, so use the shop’s numbers above. A Google Maps listing named “SW Electric Sdn Bhd (HQ)” is at 24 Jalan Bandar Lima Belas, Puchong, and Philips’ list gives that company the same Puchong address, plus a row in Penang. KW Electric & Lighting is a separately registered company, and we found no company record or public statement linking the two.
