- Other premises
- A customer's photo on the shop's Google Maps listing shows a separate multi-storey building with a warehouse signed 'Pengedaran Barangan Elektrik, LWD Liwida Electric Sdn Bhd'; it is probably the Persiaran Industri head office, but we haven't confirmed where it is. What it supplies
Its own LWD brand: the company’s websites list LWD wall switches and sockets (F2 to F6 series), trailing sockets, plug-in adaptors, cable boxes and clips, telephone sockets, dimmers, plug tops and fans. Its older website says the products follow British Standard and are SIRIM-approved. It also calls Liwida one of Malaysia’s largest makers of wall switches and trailing sockets; both are the company’s own claims. LWD goods turn up in other shops we have profiled, such as KSE Electrical in Mak Mandin, which names LWD among its brands.
What customers’ photos show: shelves of LWD LED bulbs (for example 18 W and 24 W), an LWD floodlight, exhaust, wall and stand fans, and LWD switches, sockets and trailing sockets with price tags. There are also washing-machine hoses and cartons of LWD auto kettle plugs. Other brands on the shelves include Megaman switches and universal sockets (on a shelf price list), Feel-Lite LED fittings, FSL and Fighter LED tubes, Alpha water heaters, Cosa fans by Alpha and Oshino fans. The photos are undated, so treat these as examples of the range, not current stock.
Prices on the shelf tags (undated customer photos): an LWD F4 one-gang switch RM4.40, an F3 13A switched socket RM4.00, an F4/F5 13A switched socket RM5.70, an F4/F5 20A water-heater switch RM12.20, and a four-gang LWD trailing socket with surge protector and 5 m cable RM37.00. An Alpha AE-33 water heater without pump was tagged RM235. Ask for current prices.
Reviewers mention spare-part replacement, warranty claims, advice on a replacement switch for an oven, and good prices; one came from Johor Bahru to buy here. None of the Philips, Schneider, Hager, Maxguard or CHINT dealer lists that we hold names Liwida.
Head office and factory
Liwida’s older website gives its head office as 49 Persiaran Industri, Bandar Sri Damansara, and the factory as Lot 5014, Jalan Chui Chak, Langkap, Perak. A customer’s photo on the shop’s Google Maps listing shows a separate office-and-warehouse building signed with the LWD and Liwida Electric names; it is probably the head office, but we haven’t confirmed its location. For bulk or project supply and distributor enquiries, the newer website lwd.my points to WhatsApp 012-648 7322. Export enquiries go to 012-482 0810 or the WhatsApp number 016-208 6005.
