Products and business

The upper signboard reads 'Shin Tatt Electrical (PG) Sdn. Bhd.' with the Chinese name 興達電器有限公司 and describes the business in Malay as a wholesaler and seller of electrical goods and metal goods (hardware), registered with the Ministry of Finance. The Chinese line below reads 電器五金供應商 (electrical and hardware supplier). The lower signboard is a Panasonic sign with 'Shin Tatt Electrical Sdn. Bhd.' under it; both signs carry the registration number 155822-V. CTOS gives the nature of business as wholesale of electrical and electronic goods and household appliances. A contributor's photo (undated, Chinese New Year decorations) shows stand fans at the door and boxed goods and hanging items inside; we saw no close-up of the shelves. A 2023 reviewer wrote that both new and old stock can be found here at reasonable prices.

Brands

Listed by the brand: Philips (Philips Lighting Malaysia where-to-buy list, retail stores). Signboard: Panasonic (no Locavine brand page). Not on the Schneider, Hager, Maxguard or CHINT lists we hold.

Company

Shin Tatt Electrical Sdn Bhd, 198601006657 (155822-V), incorporated 8 September 1986 in Pulau Pinang (CTOS). The signboard adds '(PG)' to the name.

Branches

Online

A reviewer (June 2022) found the shop through its Shopee store; a web search on 13 October 2026 didn't turn up that Shopee shop, and we didn't check Lazada. Two Facebook pages named Shin Tatt Electrical exist but show no address or phone, so we haven't linked them.

Not to be confused with

Sin Tatt Electrical & Air Cond Services (M) Sdn Bhd, Bandar Tasek Mutiara, Simpang Ampat (an aircond and appliance business with its own Shopee shop).

Reviews

3.3 from 4 Google reviews (13 October 2026): August 2020 (1 star, '差评', bad review), June 2022 (2 stars: an item a Shopee chat said was in stock wasn't at the shop, and a pricier brand was offered instead), April 2023 (5 stars: reasonable prices, new or old stock) and August 2024 (5 stars, no text).

What it supplies

Listed by the brand: Philips names Shin Tatt Electrical Sdn. Bhd. at 336-E Perak Road on its Malaysian where-to-buy list (retail stores, list captured 8 October 2026). The listing supports the relationship, not stock of every Philips product.

Signboard: a large Panasonic sign over the shopfront, with the company’s name under it. The Chinese line on the upper sign reads 電器五金供應商 (electrical and hardware supplier). CTOS gives the company’s business as wholesale of electrical and electronic goods and household appliances.

What photos show: a contributor’s photo, taken at Chinese New Year and undated, shows stand fans at the door and boxed goods and hanging items inside. No photo shows the shelves up close, so we can’t say which wiring, protection or lighting lines it keeps. A 2023 reviewer wrote that both new and old stock can be found here at reasonable prices.

None of the Schneider, Hager, Maxguard or CHINT dealer lists that we hold names the shop.

Buying online

A June 2022 reviewer found the shop through its Shopee store, but a web search on 13 October 2026 didn’t turn it up, and we didn’t check Lazada. The same reviewer asked the Shopee seller whether an item was in stock and was told yes. At the shop it wasn’t, and a pricier brand was offered instead. Ask the shop to confirm an item is at the counter before you go. Two Facebook pages use the Shin Tatt Electrical name, but neither gives an address or phone, so we haven’t linked them.

Not to be confused with Sin Tatt Electrical & Air Cond Services in Bandar Tasek Mutiara, Simpang Ampat, a separate aircond and appliance business.
