What it advertises

Each post names the neighbourhood and the work done that day. Its posts show:

  • New and extra points: lights, downlights, T5 tubes, fans, sockets, aircond, water heaters, ovens, kitchen hoods, exhaust fans and CCTV, and fitting the lights, fans and water heaters. These run through its posts, from 3 January to 9 October 2026. In apartments and houses it often runs the cables first and returns after the plaster ceiling is up.
  • DB replacements and upgrades: 27 January, a change to a larger DB on 21 April, a new DB after an RCCB neutral misconnection on 22 May, and a DB upgrade on 9 September.
  • Rewiring a whole house (12 May).
  • Faults: emergency short-circuit call-outs (18 March), neutral–earth faults (12 May), and replacing a blown RCCB and an ELCB that didn’t trip (7 June).
  • Other cable work: a new cable to a sub-DB (10 July), armoured cable to an autogate (25 June), and points, earthing and a meter application for a new car workshop (5 April).

About one post in five also lists non-electrical jobs such as curtain rails, blinds, clothes lines and TV brackets. The jobs it names are spread around Melaka: Pokok Mangga (many at the PR1MA residences there), Klebang, Bukit Katil, Batu Berendam, Bachang, Ayer Molek, Durian Tunggal, Jasin and Kuala Linggi.

It doesn’t advertise prices; its posts ask you to call or WhatsApp. For benchmarks, see house wiring prices in Malaysia and upgrading a DB box.

Photos it posted as its work

Nearly all its posts carry phone photos of the day’s jobs: ceilings with new points, fitted lights and fans, water heaters and DBs. The 21 April post shows a board of Maxguard MCBs with a 63A, 100mA Maxguard RCCB. The 7 June post shows a new 40A, 100mA Maxguard RCCB fitted into an older board. We haven’t seen any of these jobs.

Register check

We found none of its numbers (011-3522 7285, 016-926 2984 and 016-819 3519), and not the name SQ Engineering, in Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s public registers of electrical contractors and competent persons (snapshot of 6 October 2026). That doesn’t prove the person doing the work isn’t registered. Registered wiremen are listed under their own name and phone, which can differ from the number in an ad. For a DB change or rewiring, ask which registered wireman will test and sign off the job.
