ZMK Renovation, Cheras: KL and Selangor handyman that also lists DB and wiring work

ZMK Renovation is a handyman and renovation business based in Cheras that advertises for work in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. It posts on Facebook under three names, ZMK renovation, KL renovation & plumbing and Kl handyman expert, all with the same number. Most of its ads are for plumbing, ceilings, tiling, kitchens and painting. Electrical work is in 21 of its 49 group posts in our data, usually as one line in a list, and in a few ads in detail: DB installation and repair, new wiring and rewiring. It advertises no shop and no prices.

This page is built from its own Facebook posts from February to September 2026. It describes what the business advertises, not work we’ve checked.

What it advertises

Electrical work. Its first ad in our data, on 1 February 2026, has a full electrical and wiring section: wiring and lights, extra points, plugs and switches, fans, fitting a DB, running new cables and changing sockets. On 19 June 2026 and 21 June it posted an electrical-only ad:

• DB installation and repair
• new wiring and rewiring
• fixing short circuits
• fitting lights, fans and sockets, for homes and offices

Its other ads mention electrical work as one item among many. Examples are 15 May 2026 (“Electrical Work”), 6 August 2026 (“Plumbing & Electrical Services”), 12 September 2026 (electrical work and wiring, fitting lights and sockets) and 15 September 2026 (electrical wiring, lights and fans). The last ad listing electrical work was on 17 September 2026. Its ads from 19 to 26 September list only plumbing, ceilings and renovation, so ask whether it still takes electrical jobs.

Everything else. Plumbing and leak repairs, water heaters, toilets, sinks and taps, ceiling repair and installation, tiling and marble, kitchen cabinets and countertops, bathroom and kitchen renovation, painting, door locks, waterproofing and general repairs. Its latest ad in our data, on 26 September 2026, is for plumbing and ceiling repair.

Prices

It doesn’t advertise prices. Its ads promise affordable or reasonable prices and free quotations, and its ads of 19 and 21 September ask customers to send their location and photos or a video for checking. For typical electrical rates, see house wiring prices in Malaysia and upgrading a DB box.

Its ads also mention a warranty on its work (1 February and 15 September 2026), without saying for how long. Its Facebook profiles each show “100% recommend” from 6 to 13 reviews. These are its own statements and page ratings; we haven’t checked them.

Past work it has posted

Its group posts in May 2026 included photos of finished bathrooms, a kitchen countertop, ceiling fans, a patio and a meter box being worked on. Some of the photos in its 9 May 2026 ad show workers in T-shirts printed with a different wiring and aircond business’s name and phone number, so we can’t tell which of these jobs are its own. We haven’t used them here.

Where it is

It advertises no shop. Its Google Maps listing, Kl renovation expert, which we matched by its phone number, gives a condominium address in Taman Connaught, Cheras, and says it’s open 24 hours. Two of its Facebook profiles give Cheras, 56000. Between them, its profiles list Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Kajang, Ampang, Bukit Rotan, Shah Alam and Putrajaya as service areas. Its ads say Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, but it has also posted in two Johor groups. Expect it to come to you; there’s no shop to visit.

Register check

Neither 011-2125 5286 nor the name ZMK Renovation appears in Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s public registers of electrical contractors and competent persons (snapshot of 6 October 2026). That doesn’t prove the person doing the work isn’t registered: registered wiremen and contractors are listed under their own name, company and phone, which can differ from a trade name or the number in an ad. For a DB change, new circuits or rewiring, ask whether it does the wiring itself and which registered wireman will test and sign off the job.

How active it is

We found 49 posts with 011-2125 5286 on 45 different days between 1 February and 26 September 2026 (posts we’d collected up to 10 October 2026). Of these, 43 are in Pendawai Elektrik, 5 in the Johor group 新山装修（拉电群） and 1 in KUMPULAN TUKANG KAWASAN JOHOR. It posted most in May (16 posts), then several times a month to the end of September. There are none in March or April in our data, though Google shows it advertising in other groups in April. Google also shows the same ads in many KL and Selangor residents’ and renovation groups that we didn’t collect. Last seen advertising: 26 September 2026. We found no posts by other group members recommending it.
