APY Kontraktor: plumber and wireman, TNB and SAJ meter applications, Johor Bahru, Kulai and Kota Tinggi

APY Kontraktor is a small contractor that advertises as a “plumber dan wireman” (plumber and wireman) for Johor Bahru, Kulai, Senai and Kota Tinggi. Its ads in Facebook residents’ groups and a JB renovation group offer house wiring and extra sockets together with plumbing, and handling TNB electricity and SAJ water meter applications. It advertises no shop and no prices.

This page is built from its own Facebook posts and flyers from May 2025 to September 2026. It describes what the business advertises, not work we’ve checked.

What it advertises

Its first ad in our data, on 31 May 2025, offers:

• new pipes and plumbing for houses and shops
• house wiring and extra sockets
• submitting TNB and SAJ meter applications

Its flyers, on its posts from the first ad onwards (for example June 2025), carry the name APY Kontraktor and add concrete tiling and plaster ceilings. Every ad offers plumbing and electrical work together. From April 2026 a longer version describes “servis plumbing & wiring” with a quick, easy meter-application process. The ads name Johor Bahru, Kulai, Senai and Kota Tinggi.

Past work it has posted

Apart from one selfie in front of a switchboard (February 2026), which we don’t show, its posts carry flyers and illustrations that look AI-made, not photos of its work.

What others have said

Under an ad on its personal Facebook profile, two comments posted around August 2026 accuse it of problems. One warns that once money is paid it stops answering calls and leaves the job half done. The other calls it a scammer. We couldn’t verify either claim, and the comments don’t describe a specific job. We found no posts describing work it did; one other account replied to a Kulai request with just its number, without comment. Before paying a deposit, ask for its SSM registration and, for wiring or a TNB application, the ST-registered contractor and wireman who will sign; get a written quote and pay in stages tied to finished work.

Register check

Neither 017-543 3214 nor the name APY Kontraktor appears in Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s public registers of electrical contractors and competent persons (snapshot of 6 October 2026). That doesn’t prove the person doing the work isn’t registered: registered wiremen and contractors are listed under their own name, company and phone, which can differ from a trade name or the number in an ad. A TNB meter application goes in through an electrical contractor, with the installation’s completion and test certificates (Forms G and H; see our single- vs three-phase guide), so ask which registered contractor and wireman will sign them. How active it is

We found 63 posts with 017-543 3214 on 49 different days between 31 May 2025 and 22 September 2026. Most were in Warga Skudai Johor 2026 (WSJ), and others were in Kontraktor Renovation Johor Bahru & Pasir Gudang, Khas Penduduk Taman Universiti and KHAS Penduduk Kulai (KPK). It posted a few times a month, most often in August 2026. The same ads also appear in groups we didn’t collect, such as Komuniti Kulai Johor, Khas Penduduk Bandar Penawar and Komuniti Taman Scientex (Pasir Gudang). Last seen advertising: 22 September 2026, in the group posts we’d collected up to 10 October 2026.
