What it advertises

Electrical work. Its wiring ad, first seen in our data on 11 September 2026 and repeated up to 8 October 2026, offers wiring (拉电) for homes, shops and offices:

  • new electrical installations, extra sockets and fitting lights
  • rewiring, DB tidying (电箱整理) and circuit repairs
  • CCTV, network and other cabling

The ad says it quotes after seeing the site, offers a free site visit, and takes enquiries from any area. Earlier, on 4 and 5 June 2026, it posted an ad for home solar (4 June), saying it would cut electricity bills and was “legally approved by TNB”. Its business card, posted in a reply on 27 September 2026, lists electrical work among furniture, renovation, plaster ceilings, painting and air-conditioning.

Everything else. Most of its posts are for other trades. Between May and October 2026 it has advertised one-stop renovation and interior design (28 May 2026), roof repairs and waterproofing (24 May 2026), leak repairs (30 September 2026), replacing water tanks, pumps and water meters (7 October 2026), epoxy coating for bathrooms and balconies (8 October 2026), smart toilets, aluminium folding doors and painting. Of its 164 ads in our data, 13 are the wiring ad and 2 the solar ad.

Prices

It doesn’t advertise prices for electrical work. Its ads say only that prices are fair (收费公道) and that it quotes after seeing the site. The one figure it gives is for a different job: design and renovation of a home “from RM30K” (17 May 2026). For wiring benchmarks, see house wiring prices in Malaysia and upgrading a DB box.

Its ads also claim 25 years of renovation and wiring experience, that it does the work itself and doesn’t subcontract, and a 1-year warranty on epoxy coating. These are its own statements.

Past work it has posted

Its wiring ad includes photos and short videos it posted as its work. Among the photos: workers on ladders wiring the ceilings of an unfurnished house, one fitting white surface trunking and another pulling cables from ceiling points, and an LED-lit mirror unit being wired in a hair salon. We haven’t seen these jobs.

Register check

Neither 016-726 0851 nor the name Bon Construction & Renovation appears in Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s public registers of electrical contractors and competent persons (snapshot of 6 October 2026). That doesn’t prove the person doing the work isn’t registered: registered wiremen and contractors are listed under their own name, company and phone, which can differ from a trade name or the number in an ad. For rewiring, new circuits or DB work, ask which registered wireman will test and sign off the job. Our JB electricians guide explains the check.

A business directory lists BON CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION as registered with SSM under JM0434346-W. That is a business registration, not an electrical licence.
