The Subang Jaya address is closed

Schneider Electric Malaysia’s partner list gives Cima Wholesale’s address as No. 57, Jalan USJ 10/1G, Subang Jaya. That corner building was a Cima Lighting showroom at Taipan USJ. Google Maps marks the showroom permanently closed. Photos on that listing show the building empty, with sale and rent banners.

Philips Lighting Malaysia’s retailer list gives Cima Wholesale’s former Balakong address instead: Lot 1877, Jalan KPB 9, on 03-8961 3868. Cima’s own “We have moved” notice gives the Kajang address. It says the old 03-8961 3868 number is no longer used. Go to Kajang, not to either listed address.

What it supplies

Cima’s catalogue covers:

• decorative ceiling, pendant, wall, table and outdoor lamps;
• LED bulbs and tubes, downlights, LED strip, track lights and spotlights;
• ceiling fans and water heaters;
• switches and sockets;
• small and large electrical appliances.

It offers a free door-to-door service warranty of up to two years on its own home brands, and runs a service centre.

Two brands list Cima Wholesale. Schneider Electric Malaysia lists it as an electrical and industrial distributor. Philips Lighting Malaysia lists it as a retailer, at the old Balakong address. Cima’s website says it distributes more than 25 brands. It names Philips, Sharp, Panasonic, Osram, Ledvance, Schneider Electric, Joven, KDK, Deka, Rezo, Rubine, Alpha, Midea, Nikkon, Pila, Rebano and Tuma. Apart from Schneider and Philips, that is Cima’s own description.

Cima Lighting Sdn Bhd, a separately registered company with the Cima name and the same 3868 phone endings, has lighting showrooms on Philips’ list in Petaling Jaya (Jalan 215, Section 51), Cheras (Dataran C180), Selayang and Wangsa Maju. We didn’t check which of them are open.

How to buy

Cima is set up mainly to supply shops. Its website invites shops to apply as dealers, and search results show a Cima Wholesale shop on Shopee, which we couldn’t open to check. For trade enquiries, call the hotline, 03-8691 3868, or message the Facebook page.

Visiting

Google Maps gives the Kajang head office’s hours as 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, closed on Sunday. Its photos show an office and warehouse building, so call before you go. To see lights on display, check which Cima Lighting showrooms are open before visiting one.
