C.T.E. Electric Sdn Bhd: electrical wiring wholesaler in Taman Sri Bahagia, Johor Bahru
C.T.E. Electric Sdn Bhd is a Johor Bahru electrical wiring wholesaler and distributor. It started in 1991, and its head office and counter are at 35 & 37, Jalan Sri Bahagia 5 in Taman Sri Bahagia, near Tampoi. It supplies cable, conduit and trunking, switches and sockets, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, fans and branded home appliances to contractors and households. The company has two other outlets in Johor Bahru: an office in Kempas Lama (07-550 5295, with five more lines on its website) and a retail outlet in Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang. The Kempas Lama office is in a warehouse signed Kow Hock Hardware, and the paint dealer signs there name C.T.E. Electric as the owner, so the hardware counter appears to be run by or with C.T.E. We haven’t confirmed this.

What it supplies
Hager and Philips both list C.T.E. Electric. Hager Malaysia’s distributor finder names C.T.E. Electric at this address, and the company’s own site shows Hager sales awards going back to 2002. Philips Lighting Malaysia’s where-to-buy list names it at the same address with the 07-236 5668 hunting line. These listings place the shop in both brands’ networks, but they don’t mean every Hager or Philips reference is on the shelf. See our Hager brand page and Hager RCCB page for what Hager sells in Malaysia.
Other brands appear on its own site, and we haven’t checked them with the manufacturers. The about page shows a “Brand Distributed” logo strip that includes:
- Schneider Electric, with a Schneider award for more than 20 years of partnership;
- Maxguard, although Maxguard’s own dealer list doesn’t name C.T.E. Electric;
- Philips, which also lists the shop (above);
- Legrand, Panasonic, KDK, Khind, Nikkon, Mega, EPS, FSL, Saga, SJ, Utama and PVC.
Its product catalogue has about 70 items, among them MCBs, RCCBs, surge protection, cable and modular enclosures. It shows no prices.
