Products and business

A lighting distributor and supplier. The multi-storey building carries a signboard reading 'Pejabat Urusan dan Gudang' (business office and warehouse) with Philips branding and the company name. Inside are a lighting showroom and a sales office. The website lists lighting for homes, shops, offices, factories and outdoor projects: Philips bulbs, tubes, downlights, panels, battens, high bays, floodlights, street lights, solar lights, explosion-proof fittings, ballasts and drivers, and WiZ smart lights. Its brand list runs to about 130 brands in all, including switches and sockets (reTouch, Simon, Schneider, MK), a Hager time switch, Himel weatherproof covers and Fajar cable. Contributor photos show switch-plate display walls (Schneider, reTouch and others), pendant lights with Philips price tags, Philips, Ecolink, Ubiqua and Olbia displays, a WiZ smart-lighting counter, an outdoor-lighting wall (floodlights, high bays, solar street lights, garden poles) and shelves of boxed Philips lamps. Its own JLUX brand was trademarked in 2020 (website). Its FAQ describes the specialty as industrial and specialised lighting (explosion-proof, marine and offshore, street lights, high bays, floodlights) and says it can source items not listed on the website. CTOS gives the business as trading in electrical items and accessories, e-commerce, and contracting for electrical and electronic services.

Brands

Listed by the brand: Philips (Philips Lighting Malaysia where-to-buy list, retail stores; the row still has the former Kuchai Lama address and number). The company's website calls it an 'Official Philips Lighting Distributor', says it has been an authorised Philips Professional Trade Partner (Signify) since 2018, and says it was appointed an authorised distributor of GE Lighting products in 2024. Website brand pages also list Schneider switches and sockets, a Hager time switch and Himel weatherproof covers (advertised). Not on the Schneider, Hager, Maxguard or CHINT lists we hold.

Company

JLL Electrical Sdn Bhd, 200401010931 (649434-K), incorporated 16 April 2004 in Selangor (CTOS). The website timeline says JLL was founded in 1996 and 'officially registered as JLL Electrical Sdn Bhd' in 2009, moved to Kuchai Lama in 2011 and to Seri Kembangan in 2024.
