Ka Lighting Centre, Bandar Perai Jaya: lighting and fan showroom in Perai
Ka Lighting Centre is a lighting and ceiling-fan showroom across two shop units at 2886 & 2887 Jalan Baru, Bandar Perai Jaya, Perai. Its signboard carries business registration PG0346169-W, which dates from 2014. The Chinese sign reads 家 燈飾水晶中心, “Ka lighting and crystal centre”. It shares the Ka Lighting name with Ka Lighting & Decoration on Jalan Dato Keramat, George Town. A Facebook post from the Perai shop lists both addresses, and NSB Lighting gives the same WhatsApp number for both. Metrolux Lighting’s website calls Metrolux the parent company of both Ka Lighting shops, and the George Town outlet says it merged with Metrolux Lighting Sdn Bhd in 2025. The Perai shop still shows its own business registration on its signboard.

- Products and business
- A lighting showroom: the shop's and customers' photos on Google Maps show chandeliers and crystal lights, pendant lamps, ceiling lights, wall lights, outdoor wall and pillar lanterns, Philips cartons on a shelf, and ceiling fans. Its Chinese signboard reads 家 燈飾水晶中心 (家 being the 'Ka' of the name: Ka lighting and crystal centre) and the fascia sign adds 'Kedai Lampu' (lamp shop). Reviewers mention eyeball (downlight) lights, a porch ceiling light, lighting-layout advice and after-sales service. Its Facebook page calls it 'a leading lighting and electrical shop in Perai' supplying 'lighting, fan and electrical products'. We saw no breakers, sockets or cable in its photos.
- Brands
- Advertised on its frontage (shop's own photo on Google Maps): Philips, Rezo, NSB, Alpha, Eglo and Deka. NSB Lighting Sdn Bhd's where-to-buy page lists KA LIGHTING CENTRE at this address under Penang (checked 13 October 2026). Not on Philips Lighting Malaysia's where-to-buy list, nor on Schneider's, Hager's, Maxguard's or CHINT's Malaysian dealer lists (checked October 2026).
- Company
- Signboard and Facebook page: Ka Lighting Centre, PG0346169-W (201403159182); CTOS gives business commencement 19 June 2014, Pulau Pinang. CTOS also lists an older business KA LIGHTING CENTRE (PG0121568T, commenced 2003) and KA LIGHTING CENTRE SDN BHD (648502-A, incorporated 2004, 'trading in all kinds of lights'), both in Pulau Pinang. Not confirmed: we found nothing tying either of those to this shop beyond the name and state. Metrolux Lighting Sdn Bhd's website (About Us, 13 October 2026) says Metrolux is 'the parent company of Ka Lighting-Perai & Ka Lighting-Penang'; a customer photo shows a Metrolux Lighting carrier bag on this shop's counter.
- Sister outlets
- A Chinese New Year post on its Facebook page (seen as a Yahoo search snippet) lists 222 Jalan Dato Keramat, George Town (04-229 0441) alongside Perai as places to visit, and NSB's page gives this shop the same WhatsApp number (012-486 8821) as the George Town outlet. The George Town outlet's page says it merged with Metrolux Lighting Sdn Bhd in 2025, and Metrolux's website names both Ka Lighting shops as its own. The Perai shop shows its own business registration, so we link the two outlets as sharing a trade name.
