The website's About page says it supplies light and heavy industry (automotive, petrochemical, steel, electronics) and non-industrial customers (hospitals, hotels, commercial and residential developments, food, rubber and palm oil) with switchgear, control products, cables, measuring instruments, automation parts and protection systems. Its online catalogue lists 863 products in categories such as circuit protection (Siemens 5SL, 5SX and 5SY miniature circuit breakers and accessories), contactors, contactor relays and motor breakers, copper and aluminium power cable, fire-resistant, control, instrument and branch cable, explosion-proof lights and enclosures, industrial plugs and sockets, industrial lights, lightning protection, pneumatics, motors, PLCs, power supplies and hardware tools, plus electric bicycles and scooters in a 'sport recreation' section. Almost every item is listed without a price, with a request-a-quote form. Photos on the Google Maps listing show large wooden cable drums outside the warehouse entrance, a van in Siemens SINOVA livery carrying the SME Electric name, a team photo and a product presentation by Ingesco, a lightning-protection brand on its list. Undated photos from a directory photographer show an SME Electric display board of Siemens circuit breakers and industrial controls and a Merten switch display. Reviewers (2021–2025) mention quick quotations, on-time delivery and components used in automotive factories.

Siemens' published list of Malaysian Digital Industries partners does not include SME, and we hold no Siemens list for circuit protection. Not on the Schneider, Hager, Maxguard, CHINT, Philips or Autonics lists we hold.

Not to be confused with SME Electrical Sdn Bhd (Sungai Besar) or SME Power System Sdn Bhd (Skudai, Johor), separate businesses with similar names.
