Hager golf plastic DB boxes in Malaysia: flush VF and surface VS, sizes, spare-part transparent doors and prices
Golf is Hager’s plastic modular enclosure: white, double-insulated and available either flush-mounted (VF, set into the wall) or surface-mounted (VS). It’s Hager Malaysia’s main option for a plastic home DB box, next to the steel IU boards.
As of 8 October 2026, Hager Malaysia’s golf enclosures category lists 18 boards: 17 with opaque white doors and VS108TM (surface, 8 modules, transparent door), plus spare doors, a key lock and terminal supports. Hager Malaysia keeps 17 more golf board pages outside the category, all marked “Spare part”: the transparent-door VF…TM and VS…TM versions and VS108PM. The table lists the current boards first, then the spare-part ones.

The ratings
All the golf pages give: plastic, pure white (RAL 9010), IP40 with the door closed, IK07, isolation class II, a 650°C glow-wire test, rated current up to 63A, and neutral and earth terminal blocks. Class II means the box itself doesn’t need earthing, unlike a steel board. Hager’s golf brochure, linked from the product pages, cites IEC 60439-3.
Hager Malaysia files golf under “small distribution boards up to 63 A” and its vega boards under “up to 160 A”.

A flush VF board needs a wall recess about 72mm deep (Hager’s built-in depth), so it suits a new build or a renovation where the wall is being cut. The surface VS boards are narrower than Hager’s IU steel boards: VS312PM (36 modules) is 282mm wide against 355mm for IU39S (39 modules).
Transparent doors: spare part
Hager Malaysia marks every transparent-door golf board (VF112TM to VF418TM, VS112TM to VS418TM) “Spare part: check availability with your electrical wholesaler”, and the same for the opaque VS108PM. The only current transparent-door golf board is the small VS108TM. A seller may still have old stock. For a see-through door from Hager’s current Malaysian range, there are the small icos boxes (VS104TVA to VS118TVA, up to 18 modules) and the vega surface boards with transparent doors (VB118W to VB418W, 18 to 72 modules).
Compared with other plastic boards
- Schneider Resi9 MP is also IP40 and IK07, in flush and surface versions, with a translucent door option still listed; its pages don’t state an insulation class. Its surface boards stop at 36 modules (Resi9 MP).
- Maxguard’s MG consumer units are polystyrene boxes, surface-mounted, with a fire-retardant option; the catalogue gives no IP rating or insulation class, and we found no marketplace price for them (Maxguard DB enclosures).
- Steel boards (Hager IU, Maxguard metalclad) are class I and must be earthed. The DB box category page covers the metal-or-plastic choice.
