Schneider Acti9 iC60 MCBs in Malaysia: iC60N, H and L, curves, and how they differ from Easy9

Acti9 iC60 is Schneider’s higher-specification MCB range, the step up from the Easy9 MCB, a common choice in Malaysian home boards. As of 6 October 2026, Schneider Malaysia’s product list for the iC60 range has 429 references in two groups: 423 under “iC60” and six under “Disbo iC60”. The range page opens on the first group, so the six are easy to miss. That many references sounds bewildering, but they vary mainly in four things: sub-range (N, H or L), poles, tripping curve and current rating. A handful repeat a standard rating under another code (see below).

N, H and L: breaking capacity

The letter after iC60 is mainly about how large a short-circuit current the breaker can safely interrupt. The breaking-capacity figures below come from the 95 Malaysian product descriptions that state one. They’re consistent within each sub-range; the other descriptions are a short form without ratings.

Sub-rangeReferences on the Malaysian listRated breaking capacity (IEC 60898-1)
iC60N1636000A (6kA)
iC60H140, plus 6 in the “Disbo iC60” group10000A (10kA)
iC60L12015000A (15kA)

Those descriptions also quote a second figure under IEC 60947-2, the industrial standard. It’s usually higher and varies by reference. Compare the 60898-1 figure across products, as that’s the one used for MCBs in domestic boards.

The breaking capacity needs to be at least the fault current available where the breaker is installed. Schneider Malaysia lists Easy9 MCBs in 4.5, 6 and 10kA lines. So an iC60N (6kA) isn’t automatically “stronger” than a 6kA Easy9: what you pay for with iC60 is the wider choice and the higher H and L tiers. Your electrician or the board designer should set the required rating.

Watch the labels on seller listings. Several Malaysian listings call an iC60N “10kA” (for example “iC60N 2P 20A C curve 10kA”). That’s the IEC 60947-2 figure. Under IEC 60898-1, Schneider Malaysia rates iC60N at 6000A, so it isn’t the same as a 10kA Easy9 or an iC60H.

Poles, curves and ratings listed

  • Poles: 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P across all three sub-ranges, plus 1P+N versions of iC60N (C curve, 1–32A) and iC60H (C curve, 2, 4, 10 and 16A).
  • Curves: iC60N and iC60H come in B, C and D. iC60L is listed in B, C, K and Z, plus a motor-protection MA version in 2P and 3P, with no D curve.
  • Ratings: from 0.5A up to 63A, though not every combination is listed.

C curve is the usual choice for general circuits in homes and small businesses. B trips sooner on surges and suits long cable runs or resistive loads. D tolerates high inrush, for example from motors and transformers. K, Z and MA are specialist curves for motors and for electronic circuits and semiconductors. If you’re replacing an MCB, match the curve and rating on the old one unless your electrician says otherwise.

The six Disbo iC60 references are iC60H C-curve MCBs: A9F54202, A9F54206 and A9F54216 (2P, 2, 6 and 16A) and A9F54402, A9F54404 and A9F54406 (4P, 2, 4 and 6A), all rated 10000A under IEC 60898-1. The three Malaysian product pages we opened (A9F54202, A9F54216, A9F54406) describe them in nearly the same words as a standard iC60H (double tunnel terminals, 10000A; the 2P 16A A9F54216 has the same 36mm width as the standard A9F84216) and don’t say what “Disbo” means. Each of the six ratings is also listed as a standard iC60H code (A9F84202, A9F84206, A9F84216, A9F84402, A9F84404 and A9F84406), so order by the exact code your board design or supplier names.

The table below shows a selection of iC60N C-curve references from Schneider Malaysia’s list. The full Malaysian list has the rest.

Reading the code

In the references shown here, iC60N C-curve codes start A9F74. The next digit is the poles: 1 is 1P, 2 is 2P, 3 is 3P, 4 is 4P and 6 is 1P+N. The last two digits are the amps, except that 0.5A is coded 70. So A9F74216 is a 2P 16A C-curve iC60N, and A9F74632 is a 1P+N 32A.

Other sub-ranges and curves use other prefixes. On the Malaysian list, iC60N B is A9F73 and D is A9F75. iC60H uses A9F83, A9F84 and A9F85 for B, C and D, and the Disbo iC60H references use A9F54. iC60L uses A9F93 for B, A9F94 for C, A9F95 for K, A9F92 for Z and A9F90 for MA. One exception on the list is A9F07106, a double-terminal iC60H 1P 6A C. Apart from that one, this pattern holds across the 429 Malaysian references, but it’s our reading, not Schneider’s official decoding, so check the full description for the exact code.

Where to buy

  • Sysnapse, a general electronics web store, lists A9F74206 (2P 6A C) at RM259.99, with a three-month warranty and 7–10 working days’ delivery. It’s marked “In Stock”, which is the seller’s claim.
  • A Shopee store lists A9F74432 (4P 32A C) at RM244.10 in search results.
  • KVC lists A9F74220 (2P 20A C), with prices for signed-in accounts.
  • Plus Power Solution in Bandar Bukit Puchong lists iC60N D-curve references (A9F75220, A9F75225, A9F75363) with enquiry and WhatsApp buttons. It’s open Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, on +603-5887 1755, and its store profile has the WhatsApp number and directions.
  • Samajaya Electrical Trading in Kuala Lumpur lists an iC60N 2P 32A C-curve MCB with WhatsApp enquiry. Its “In Stock” label is a website default, not a stock confirmation.

Ask for iC60 by exact code when a board design specifies it, or when you need a curve, pole format or breaking capacity that Easy9 doesn’t offer.
