What it supplies

Two brands list Alt-Tech at this address:

• Schneider Electric. Schneider Electric Malaysia’s partner locator lists Alt-Tech as a “DIY & retailer” partner. The record gives the state as Pahang, but the postcode and map pin are in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. A Schneider Electric panel is also on the shop’s signboard. See our Schneider brand page and the Easy9 range page.
• Philips. Philips Lighting Malaysia’s where-to-buy list names Alt-Tech among its retail stores.

A listing places the shop in the brand’s network. It doesn’t mean every reference is on the shelf.

Other brands on its website and signboard. We haven’t confirmed these with the manufacturers:

• Protection and switchgear: the website’s brand index includes Hager, Maxguard, Himel, Legrand, Eaton, Siemens, Fuji, LS, Mitsubishi, Terasaki and Shihlin. Neither Hager’s nor Maxguard’s own dealer list names Alt-Tech. The website calls the company an authorised dealer for “various famous brands” without naming them.
• Control and test: Omron, Autonics, Fotek, Anly, Kyoritsu, Fluke and Isotech.
• Lighting: GE Lighting, Osram, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sylvania, Hazzle and Aurore. The signboard carries the GE, Aurore, Hazzle, TBC, Sharp and YLI logos.
• Cable and wiring: Southern Cable, Fajar, UMS, Belden, HL Cable, PVC-Link and EPS.

Buying online

The website shows the catalogue but asks buyers to screenshot the item and WhatsApp it for the latest price. The WhatsApp line is 016-551 5119. A separate JustOrder ordering page showed as “temporarily unavailable” when we checked on 6 October 2026. A Facebook page run as the company’s sales page, Siang Alt-tech Electrical & Trading, gives 016-447 7175 and lists Penang areas it serves, including Butterworth, Bukit Mertajam, Batu Kawan and Bayan Lepas.
