Where to buy APC UPS in Malaysia: distributors, IT resellers and online sellers
APC is the brand Schneider Electric uses for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and IT power. Its Malaysian page, APC by Schneider Electric, groups the range into UPS for home and office, UPS for networks and servers, three-phase UPS for data centres and facilities, racks and enclosures, and rack power distribution. The Schneider brand page explains what Back-UPS, Smart-UPS, Smart-UPS On-Line, Easy UPS and NetShelter each do.
APC doesn’t usually come through the electrical counters that sell Schneider breakers. It’s sold mainly through computer and IT channels. Schneider Malaysia’s APC page points buyers to three routes: online resellers, IT resellers and wholesale distributors. Each serves a different kind of buyer.
1. Online resellers: for a single UPS at home or in a small office
Schneider’s APC online resellers page names nine routes in October 2026. These were Lazada, Shopee Mall, All IT Online, Asashi, Geddit, Gloo, Grex, PC iMage and TA Power. Three of them also have physical premises we’ve profiled:
- Grex Multimedia, a computer shop in Kota Puteri, Masai (Johor). In October 2026 its online shop listed 25 APC products with prices, from Back-UPS and SurgeArrest units to Smart-UPS and Easy UPS On-Line.
- PC Image at Wisma Saberkas, Kuching. It’s a computer retail chain that calls itself an APC Premier Partner.
- TA Power Group at Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur. It’s a UPS and data-centre specialist that offers after-sales support nationwide.
2. IT resellers and channel partners: for an office, server room or installation
The APC page’s “find a reseller” link opens Schneider’s reseller locator, which we haven’t extracted yet. Instead, we used the same companies as they appear in Schneider Malaysia’s all-authorised-partners locator. It lists 31 IT Channel Partner entries and one IT distributor. Leave out the duplicate listings and MCL’s three branches (MCL is a wholesaler, covered below), and that’s 27 partner companies. We’ve profiled all of them. Most are tagged for UPS, racks, IT power distribution or surge protection, and our store pages record them as Schneider brand partners. A listing says Schneider works with the company. It doesn’t say which APC models it keeps in stock.
Most are IT companies that sell to businesses rather than walk-in shops: systems integrators, managed-service firms and data-centre contractors. These ones show APC themselves and are the easiest to approach:
- Klang Valley: Computaas in Petaling Jaya publishes APC price lists on its website. J&M Eastern Group in Sri Petaling has an “APC Authorized Partner” signboard. Alpha Support calls itself an authorised APC reseller, and B&H Intec Solution, a Premier-level partner, includes APC in the brand list on its parts page.
- Penang: Kinemech Solution in Bayan Lepas describes an APC by Schneider Premier Partnership and lists everything from Back-UPS to three-phase Symmetra units. Linear Online lists itself as an APC certified partner.
- Johor, Sarawak and KL: Grex Multimedia, PC Image and TA Power Group, the online resellers above.
The other partners show up in the locator only. In the Klang Valley they are Alphamatic Systems, Zanotek, Idotcom Synergy, Unique Central, Primalcom, JOS Malaysia, SNS Network, CTC Global, ES Matrix, ENGIE Services and the electrical distributor KVC Industrial Supplies. In Penang they are Plexcom Network System, Ipenet Solutions and Kawloon Networks. In Johor they are Flexi Team, Hipercom Technology and Al Qanaah Resources, and in Ipoh, Ultimate SI Solution. Ask any of them for an APC quote as part of a project. Don’t expect a shelf of UPS units.
3. Wholesale distributors: for resellers
Schneider’s APC distributor directory is the trade tier. In October 2026 it listed 16 branches of three companies:
| Distributor | Branches in the directory |
|---|---|
| Ingram Micro (M) Sdn Bhd | Petaling Jaya head office, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching |
| MCL Bhd | Johor Bahru (listed as head office), Subang Jaya, Melaka, Kuantan, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri |
| DCD Distribution Sdn Bhd | Puchong, Skudai |
These are IT wholesalers. The Schneider distributor directory lists the same 16 branches next to Schneider’s electrical distributors, state by state. Ingram Micro sells only to resellers and integrators, and MCL distributes APC power products to IT dealers. If you’re a business reselling or installing APC, these are the companies that supply your price and stock. If you just need one UPS, buy from a reseller in the first or second list. A dealer can order from these wholesalers when its own shelf is empty.
The 24 APC sellers in our profiles
We record APC itself against 24 profiled businesses:
- APC distributor directory (16). These are the 16 wholesale branches above. So far only Ingram Micro’s head office has a published page.
- Advertises APC (8). These are the businesses in the second section that show APC on their own website, signboard or online shop: four in the Klang Valley, two in Penang, one in Johor (Grex) and one in Kuching (PC Image).
TA Power Group and the locator-only partners are linked to APC through Schneider’s own lists, not through their own APC advertising, so they don’t yet appear in the supplier list below.
Whichever route you take, quote the exact model code, such as a Back-UPS or Smart-UPS reference with its VA rating. That matters because family names cover very different machines, and a seller’s catalogue isn’t proof of stock.
Gaps in this page
- We haven’t extracted Schneider’s IT reseller locator, so resellers that appear only there aren’t covered.
- We haven’t compared APC prices across sellers yet.
- 15 of the 16 wholesale branches don’t have published pages yet. The directory’s own contact details are the current route to them.
Suppliers in this directory
Grouped by how the brand's own distributor or dealer list classifies each shop. A place on the list says the brand names the shop; it doesn't confirm current stock. Shops it doesn't list appear because of their signs, sites or posts.
- On the brand’s list: 1
- Brand partner (integrator, panel builder…): 11
