Hager RCBOs in Malaysia: the 15 listed models, why there's no current 10mA option, and 1P vs 1P+N
An RCBO combines an MCB and an RCCB in one device: it trips on overload and short circuit, and on earth leakage. In Malaysian homes the RCBO question is usually about the water heater, which needs leakage protection of 10mA or less. For Hager the short answer is that Hager Malaysia’s current RCBO list has no 10mA model.
As of 6 October 2026, Hager Malaysia’s RCBO category lists 15 RCBOs, all 30mA Type AC. The table below also lists the 38 RCBO product pages Hager Malaysia keeps outside the category, including all seven of its 10mA RCBOs; each is marked spare part or obsolete.

All 15 are 30mA Type AC. Breaking capacities are Icn to IEC 60898-1, the household MCB standard. The AD9xxB models are rated 240V and the ADC models 230–240V.
These are 30mA devices: they suit socket and general circuits that need 30mA protection, not water heaters. None of the 15 is Type A; the only Type A RCBO page on Hager Malaysia’s site, AFA906H (1P+N C6 300mA), is marked spare part.
The 10mA RCBOs: spare part or obsolete
Hager Malaysia still has pages for several 10mA RCBOs, but none is in the RCBO category, and each carries a status:

All seven are Type AC. They are the only 10mA RCBOs in Hager Malaysia’s product index, the search index behind its site, which also covers pages the category leaves out (checked 8 October 2026). “Spare part” and “Obsolete” suggest these models are no longer part of Hager Malaysia’s current range, though a wholesaler may still have stock.
The same index has 31 more RCBO pages outside the category, also marked spare part or obsolete: B10, B16 and B20 versions of the 30mA AD9xxB (AD910B, AD916B, AD920B), 100mA and 300mA 1P+N models (AE9xxB, AF9xxB and the Type A AFA906H), and 1-module 1P 6kA models at 30mA (nine ADC2xxR models from ADC219R to ADC228R, up to 50A) and 100mA (AEC2xxR, AEC240Z). The product table at the top of the page lists each with its status. If a seller offers one of these codes, it is likely old stock; compare it with the current models above.
The rule for a water-heater circuit is leakage protection of 10mA or less, and the Energy Commission’s guideline accepts either an RCBO or an RCCB plus MCB. Within Hager Malaysia’s current range, though, the 10mA route is a 10mA RCCB plus an MCB; Hager’s FAQ also frames it that way, saying a 10mA RCCB is mandatory for water-heater protection. The Hager RCCB page covers the four 10mA RCCBs (CC216B, CC225B, CCA225B and CCA540D), all 2-pole devices, two of them Type A.
1P or 1P+N?
The two listed series are built differently:
- AD9xxB is 1P+N: Hager’s pages give one protected pole, the live, with the neutral also passing through the device. It’s two modules wide.
- ADC28x is 1P in a single module, with one protected pole.
Neither Hager Malaysia’s pages nor the datasheets say how the neutral is switched or whether these RCBOs are voltage-independent. The EU declaration linked from the AD9xxB pages lists EN 61009-1, the general RCBO standard, which doesn’t settle voltage dependence. A Hager instruction sheet linked from the same pages says Hager RCDs conforming to EN 61008-2-1 and EN 61009-2-1 (the voltage-independent parts) trip within the required times, but it’s a brand-wide note, not a rating for these codes.
The Energy Commission’s water-heater guideline calls for a 2-pole RCD on a single-phase heater circuit. That’s one more reason the 2-pole 10mA RCCB is the cleaner Hager option. Our water heater guide explains the 2-pole and voltage-dependence questions.
What sellers list
Malaysian marketplace listings for Hager RCBOs are few. On 6 October 2026, BigGo Malaysia showed these Shopee listings. A listing isn’t confirmed stock, and we haven’t examined the products:
- “Hager RCBO 1M 1P 10kA C-25A 10mA AC” and “Hager ACC125 RCBO 1M 1P 10kA C-25A 10mA AC” at RM320 from two Selangor stores (CCChuan and Tiptop_Network_Solutions), and “Hager ACC125 25A 1P+N 10mA Type C Electronic RCBO” at RM360 from CPE Electrical (Penang, sold out). ACC125 has no Hager Malaysia page; the Malaysian page with a near-identical title (“RCBO 1P 10kA C-25A 10mA AC”) is ACC225P, marked spare part. Two of the listings call it “1P”, CPE’s calls it “1P+N”.
- AD970B (1P+N C20 30mA) at RM600 from one Kuala Lumpur store, the only listed-series code we found with a price.
- A CPE Electrical listing titled “HAGER AC966B RCBO 1P+N 6kA C 16A 30mA AC” at RM344 (sold out). Hager Malaysia’s AC966B page says 10mA, not 30mA, so check the device’s label rather than the listing title.
For comparison, a 10mA Hager RCCB costs RM167.20–330 in the listings we found, before adding an MCB. If you want a current 10mA RCBO instead, Schneider’s Type A Easy9 RCBO EZ9D16625 and Maxguard’s ML32-1 RCBO are on their makers’ Malaysian lists, with prices on those pages. Schneider rates the Easy9 RCBO 1P+N. Maxguard’s catalogue doesn’t state the ML32-1’s poles: its drawing shows a live and a neutral terminal, and sellers variously call it “2P”, “1P+N” or “1P”. The Easy9 datasheet and the Maxguard catalogue both cite the voltage-dependent RCBO standard (IEC 61009-2-2), so the 2-pole and voltage-dependence questions above apply to both; ask the supplier how the neutral is switched.
When ordering, ask for the exact code, and check whether it’s on Hager Malaysia’s current list or marked spare part or obsolete. Check the ST-SIRIM label on the unit.
