Finding an electrician in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for house work

Most electricians who take house jobs in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor don’t have a shop or a website. Some have a Google Maps listing with a pin at a condo or a house, dozens of reviews and a few photos of their work. Others have no listing at all: they work from a WhatsApp number and advertise in Facebook groups, often several times a week. Both kinds are easy to reach once you know where to look, and hard to tell apart from the project firms, aircond companies, handymen and lead-generation listings that come up for the same search.

This guide lists 57 Klang Valley electricians and small outfits, grouped by where they’re based or say they work. Forty-four we found on Google Maps, where their reviews and photos show house jobs; 13 we found through their own ads in Pendawai Elektrik, the big national Malay-language wiremen’s group. For each one you get the number, what its reviews, photos or ads show it doing, whether its name or number turns up in Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s (ST, the Energy Commission) register, and how recent the evidence is. Further down: prices some of them publish, where to post a request, how to check someone in ST’s register, and what a DB (distribution board, the fuse box) change, new points and a three-phase upgrade have been costing.

What this list is, and isn’t

We searched Google Maps across 22 areas of the Klang Valley, from Rawang to Putrajaya and Klang to Semenyih, in English, Malay and Chinese, and read the reviews of the 577 electrician-like listings that had at least five. Many turned out to be project and M&E firms, aircond companies, plumbers and handymen, or keyword and lead-generation listings; about 110 clearly take house jobs. We profiled 44, starting with those whose reviews and photos most clearly show house work, with recent activity where we could find it, and then adding listings to cover areas the first ones missed. Some rest on thin evidence, such as five reviews or photos that are mostly commercial work, and their entries say so.

The other 13 are among the most frequent advertisers in Pendawai Elektrik who name KL, Selangor, Putrajaya or Sepang, offer wiring, DB or tripping work and were still advertising in mid-2026, from the group’s posts up to 10 October 2026. None of the 44 Maps-listed numbers is among them. Of the 13, only RMA Handyman KL, ZMK Renovation and Makwe Engineering’s sales line have Maps listings we could match by phone, and none had a post from another group member recommending it in the posts we collected, so you’re judging them on their ads, photos and how they answer you.

It’s a starting list, not a directory. Some gaps to know about:

  • Putrajaya itself: we found no well-reviewed house electrician listed there. The nearest are Mz Quick in Cyberjaya and, around Seri Kembangan, 1 Abadi, SC Wireman and Electrical Plumbing Services; Troubleshooting Hunter, BDN, Alif Team and several others name Putrajaya.
  • Bangsar and Old Klang Road: we have nobody based there. Maps showed mostly plumbers and handymen; the nearest here are VP EcoWorld in Brickfields, LS in Bukit Jalil and KRV in Sungai Besi.
  • Selayang and Semenyih: covered, but thinly. In Selayang, Mantronic has 56 reviews, but only two recent ones describe house jobs and two older ones are templated, and AR’s Selayang listing has nothing newer than January 2026; in Semenyih, Voltage Wiring has five reviews, and Shafwan has a second listing there.
  • Rawang, Kapar, Sungai Buloh’s villages and Shah Alam’s southern sections: many small electricians have Maps listings with no reviews, which tell you nothing about their work.
  • Local groups: we haven’t yet read the Klang Valley’s own residents’ and renovation groups, where many local electricians answer request posts.

Everything about services, areas and prices below is what each business shows or advertises, or what its reviewers describe, as we found it in October 2026. A review says what one customer experienced, not what the business can do on your job, and we haven’t checked any of their work. Each name links to a profile with the reviews, ads and photos behind it. If you run one of these and something is wrong, or you’d rather not be listed, contact us.

The map shows the 44 we found on Google Maps. All of them work on site. Amtrixx, Kristal Maya, K&W, 1 Abadi and Kejuruteraan Elektrik Pandan have offices, Nathan has a unit in the TTDI market building and LSC is a small lighting shop, but most pins are a house, a condo unit or just the listing’s location, so call or WhatsApp rather than visit. A few names look alike: GE Electrical in Setapak isn’t GE Electrical Trading, the electrical shop in Rawang; Mz Quick, MZ Technic and MZ Berkat Bersepadu are three businesses with different numbers; SS Barokah, SS Tenaga and SKS (which once advertised as SS Electrical) all have different numbers; Electrical Plumbing Services in Seri Kembangan isn’t ShanBro, whose main Maps listing is named “Electrical & Plumbing service”; Power Voltage in PJ and Voltage Wiring in Semenyih have different numbers; and AR Electrical Services’ Klang and Selayang entries are one business with two bases.

Two notes on the lines below. Register describes what ST’s public registers (6 October 2026 list) say about that business name or phone number. It’s a credential, not a promise of workmanship or price. “Not found” only means we couldn’t match the name or number: registered wiremen and contractors are listed under their own name, company and phone, which can differ from a trade name or the number in an ad. Seven of the 57 are on ST’s contractor register, and five more have a number that belongs to a registered wireman or chargeman; see checking the register. Several Maps-listed businesses hold a CIDB grade, which registers construction contractors and isn’t ST’s electrical registration. Reviews on Google can be bunched or padded: where several were posted minutes or hours apart, or copied, we say so, and a rating from a handful of reviews is weak evidence either way.

Klang and Shah Alam

Amtrixx, SS Barokah, Suren Smart Electrical, AR Electrical Services’ Klang branch and F.A Bina have Google Maps listings; Makwe and JSR we found through their Facebook-group ads.

Amtrixx Engineering, Jalan Kapar, Klang, call or WhatsApp 019-547 6124. A wiring business with a first-floor office and a small team of wiremen, and the only one here with package prices on its website, for DB box upgrades, earthing and TNB meter applications (see what it should cost). Reviewers describe a three-phase upgrade (April 2026), lights and fans fitted in houses, and earthing improved to below 5 ohms so an EV wall charger could be installed (October 2026). A customer’s photo shows a three-phase DB with EPS breakers. Open Monday to Saturday, closed on Sunday.

  • Register: not on ST’s contractor register. Its number is listed for a PW2 wireman, but under another contractor’s registration, in Kedah. For a TNB application or three-phase upgrade, ask which registered contractor will submit it. CIDB grade G1.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 245 on Google. The five newest were posted between 5 and 17 October 2026, three of them on 16 and 17 October.

SS Barokah Electrical Enterprise (“Tukang Elektrik SS Barokah”), Shah Alam, call or WhatsApp 012-575 3177. A home electrician with three Maps listings on one number, for Shah Alam, Klang–Telok Panglima Garang and Puchong; treat the pins as service areas. Reviewers describe a water heater that kept tripping the house and had damaged parts in the DB, which were replaced (September 2026), sockets added, a porch fan and lights, and faulty light fittings. Its own photos include a three-phase DB with Schneider Easy9 breakers and RCBOs (June 2026), sockets checked with a tester and earth-resistance readings, alongside warehouse lighting jobs. Its older Facebook posts add single- and three-phase DB changes and earth rods.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 49, 24 and 9 on its three listings, the newest from August and September 2026. Several are short, and they name more than one person doing the work, so ask who will come.

Suren Smart Electrical (SSE), Section U9, Shah Alam, call or WhatsApp 011-3669 3404. An electrician and CCTV installer. Reviewers hired it for faults traced to their cause (April 2026), fuse-box and light repairs, a wiring service and a house CCTV job. Its own photos are mostly commercial units, and its Facebook pages mostly advertise CCTV packages.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.7 from 23. One reviewer cut their rating to two stars after a cancelled appointment, a late rescheduled visit and a missed one (August 2025), so confirm the time before you wait in.

AR Electrical Services, Klang branch, Kampung Batu Tujuh, south Klang, with a second listing in Jenjarom, call 014-606 5103. The Klang branch of AR Electrical Services (registered as Assalaya Resources), whose main base is in Selayang, further down. Reviewers describe a late-night house blackout patched that night and repaired the next morning (May 2026), and smart switches fitted and a house’s three-phase wiring rebalanced, with a new labelling diagram for a breaker board that had none (February 2024). Its 2024 photos mix house jobs, such as a downlight and an aircond, with DBs, shop lighting and a generator set.

  • Register: none of its numbers or names found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 7, plus 2 on the Jenjarom listing. The oldest Klang review is from an account sharing a name with the person who runs the business, and the two Jenjarom reviews came six minutes apart.

F.A Bina Enterprise, Taman Firdaus, Klang, call 017-235 3309. A contractor doing electrical work alongside building and generator jobs: most of its photos are commercial three-phase boards, shop airconds, generator sets and building renovations. Its one detailed review is a house switch-box fault the electrician came to fix the same night, following up the next day (August 2026). Weekdays, 8am to 6pm on Maps; for a house job, describe it fully and ask whether it takes that kind of work.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 20; eight of the nine we could read are short ones from February to April 2026.

Makwe Engineering, Setia Alam, WhatsApp 017-682 4232 or 011-5683 3121. An electrical contractor that has been advertising on social media since 2020 and, by its website, was founded in 2016. Its ads cover homes, shops and offices: lights, fans, sockets, doorbells and water heaters, DB boxes for single- and three-phase supply, servicing, moving and replacing DBs (including old wooden ones), troubleshooting trips and blackouts, and whole-premises wiring or rewiring, concealed, in surface casing or in conduit, with light and fan points in 1.5mm² cable and socket points in 2.5mm². It also does CCTV, autogates and aircond servicing, and its website lists TNB meter applications: new single- and three-phase supply, upgrades, temporary and underground meters, and changing the name on a meter. Its group ads name Setia Alam, Meru, Kapar, Bukit Kapar, Klang, Shah Alam, Puncak Alam, Bukit Raja, Bukit Jelutong and nearby areas; its website adds parts of KL, Puchong, Subang, Bangi and Rawang. The website gives an office at 76-2 Jalan Setia Utama AS U13/AS, Setia Alam, open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm. A Google Maps listing named “Elektrik Wireman”, with no reviews, carries its sales line at another Setia Alam address, so message before visiting either.

  • Register: MAKWE ENGINEERING is on ST’s register of electrical contractors as a class C contractor in Shah Alam (registered to June 2029), with four competent persons on its record. Its main number, 017-682 4232, is listed in ST’s register of competent persons for a PW2 wireman (valid to January 2028), recorded under Makwe Engineering’s registration number. PW2 is the single-phase wiring grade; for three-phase work, ask who holds the higher grade. Its sales line isn’t in the registers.
  • Prices: its February 2026 ad offered to fit lights from RM30, without saying whether the light is included. Its other ads give no prices.
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026, on 18 days in September and 6 in the first nine days of October.

JSR Electrical Service Enterprise, WhatsApp 016-258 7824. A home electrician that says it covers Klang and Shah Alam only (its December 2025 ads also named KL and Rawang). Its ads list new points for lights, fans, sockets, aircond and water heaters; fitting downlights, fans, sockets and switches; DB changes and upgrades; replacing main switches, ELCBs (what many people still call an RCCB) and MCBs on single- or three-phase supply; and troubleshooting no power, tripping, short circuits and faulty sockets or water heaters. About 20 of its posts carry photos of jobs, mostly DBs before and after. Until May 2026 it advertised on 011-5113 8120.

  • Register: neither number nor its name found.
  • Prices: none advertised; its ads say a DB change is priced by the size of the DB, and one says the price is negotiable.
  • Last seen advertising: 10 October 2026, most weeks since mid-April.

Risha, AZ, SKS and MZ Technic (below) also name Klang or Shah Alam, Kristal Maya and Alif Team list Shah Alam, and NZ Zahwa has advertised there.

Petaling Jaya, Damansara, Subang and Puchong

All seven here have Google Maps listings; Nathan is in TTDI, on the KL side of Damansara. None of the Facebook advertisers we profiled is based in this part of the valley, though Risha has posted jobs in Petaling Jaya, Puchong and Subang Jaya, SKS names Puchong and Sunway, and SC Wireman (further down) has a Puchong listing.

Electrical & Electronic 2U, Taman Sea (SS 23), Petaling Jaya, call 012-259 7329. A house electrician with one of the busiest listings here, though we found no website or Facebook page for it. Reviewers describe house wiring, lighting replaced (August 2026) and a long-standing fault in a home that several other technicians hadn’t found (September 2026); one has used it five or six times, and another says it isn’t the cheapest but the workmanship is good. Its photos show condo lighting and fans and DB work, alongside cafe, office and event jobs. Maps lists no hours, so call to arrange a time.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 244, the newest from August and September 2026.

Power Voltage Electrical, Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya, call or WhatsApp 011-1161 4518. A house electrician and aircond technician. Its own photos show a DB tested with a multimeter, a DB being replaced, a ceiling light, a water heater and a TNB meter; reviewers describe a fault traced to its root cause (May 2026), lights fitted and a DB checked. Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm on Maps.

  • Register: its number is listed for an A4 chargeman, a low-voltage operating grade rather than a wiring grade, recorded under the registration of Bersatu Cahaya Electric, an ST class C contractor a few doors away on the same street (next on this list). We didn’t establish how the two are related. For wiring or DB work, ask which registered wireman will sign it off, and under whose registration.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 99, the newest from July and August 2026.

Bersatu Cahaya Electric, Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya, call or WhatsApp 014-625 4320; its work shirts also give 03-7785 0453 and 019-339 1050. A business since 1999, now a registered electrical contractor, that takes house calls besides aircond, CCTV and commercial work. Reviewers describe a house that tripped whenever the pump ran, patched the same day and later given a new DB (June 2025), plug points fixed and fans fitted, and a check that found looping and earthing faults and ended with a new DB (September 2026). Its website adds TNB applications and three-phase upgrades. Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm on Maps.

  • Register: BERSATU CAHAYA ELECTRIC is a class C contractor on ST’s register (to September 2027), and its Maps number is listed for one of the two PW4 wiremen under its registration. Its CIDB registration expired in 2016, though its website calls it CIDB-licensed.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 34, the newest from September 2026; a one-star review (April 2026) says calls about a problem after an aircond job went unanswered.

Nathan Electrical, Pasar Moden TTDI, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, call or WhatsApp 017-629 1774, landlines 03-7729 9054 and 03-7727 0036. A registered contractor with a team and a small unit in the TTDI market building; its website says it has served KL and Damansara since 1983. One reviewer has used it many times at home, and another had parts prepared from photos sent ahead. Its photos show house DBs being rewired, a new Maxguard DB and a solar water heater besides commercial switchboards, and it offers five years of free yearly wiring checks on homes it has fully wired. 9am to 8pm daily on Maps.

  • Register: NATHAN ELECTRICAL is a class C contractor on ST’s register (to January 2027), with a PW4 wireman and an A0 chargeman under its registration. CIDB grade G3, valid.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 16, from 2023 to 2026; few are recent, and the newest (September 2026) has no text.

SS Tenaga Electrical Services 24 hours, Kota Damansara, call or WhatsApp 017-391 0889. Call-outs at any hour: reviewers describe a whole house without power at midnight, reached within 20 minutes (June 2026), and a DB box replaced once the fault was found (September 2026). Its own photos show scorched wiring behind a socket, old DBs and meter boards, but also a stock-looking DB close-up and a water-heater showroom. The same number has been advertised under aircond-and-electrical names, so it probably does aircond too.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.6 from only 10, two of them posted a minute apart, plus a one-star rating without text. A rough guide at best.

SR Dynamic Solution, Taman Desaria, Petaling Jaya, call 011-1198 6753. Small electrical jobs and troubleshooting in homes, including during renovations: reviewers describe a power trip fixed and explained (July 2026), a previous contractor’s poor installation put right, with the plaster ceiling patched and fans refitted (June 2026), and evening and emergency calls answered. Its photos are mostly renovation lighting; one is a design rendering, not finished work. Open 7:30am to 10pm daily on Maps.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 7, all posted May to July 2026, one by an account sharing the electrician’s family name. A young listing.

Abu K Current Tech Enterprise, Kampung Sri Aman Bistari, Puchong, near Putra Heights, call 017-215 3901. An electrician and aircond technician for small house jobs: a new neutral line and circuit repairs (June 2026), slow fans fixed with a new capacitor or board, a ceiling fan replaced, a water heater installed (October 2026) and an aircond switch fixed. Its own photos show a house DB with Maxguard breakers and conduit laid on a new house’s slab before the pour. Weekdays 9am to 5pm on Maps, though one reviewer found the timing flexible.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 103, the newest from July to October 2026; one reviewer calls its price the best in Puchong.

Kuala Lumpur north: Sentul, Setapak, Wangsa Maju, Melawati, Segambut and Kepong

All eight here have Google Maps listings. Of the Facebook advertisers, SKS names Sentul and Setapak, and Risha has posted jobs in Setapak and Gombak.

Civasakthi Enterprise (“24 Hour Electrician”), Taman Permata, near Wangsa Maju, call or WhatsApp 014-627 5203. A 24-hour electrician for houses and condos. Reviewers describe a main-box fault at 10pm fixed within an hour, a condo fault reached within 30 minutes, and burnt wiring on a newly installed 2.5HP aircond traced to the undersized switch and cable the shop’s installer had fitted (September 2026). Its photos show a house DB with every circuit labelled and a water heater. Its website lists DB upgrades, new points, full home wiring and EV chargers across KL, Selangor and Putrajaya, and says emergency attendance depends on which technicians are free.

  • Register: CIVASAKTHI ENTERPRISE is a class C contractor on ST’s register with this number, and a PW4 wireman is listed under its registration. CIDB showed its G1 registration as expired in October 2026, though its website says it’s valid.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 353, the most on this page, the newest from August and September 2026.

“electrical wireman 24 hours”, Taman Melawati, call or WhatsApp 010-668 3103. An unnamed Maps listing for a wireman who takes night call-outs: a midnight WhatsApp answered, temporary power restored that night and the repair finished the next morning in the Cheras area (July 2026), plus other midnight visits and Sunday work. Its photos show meter boards, house DBs and new cable pulled through chased walls; one is a stock image. In March 2026 the same number was used to recruit a DB-troubleshooting technician for KL and Selangor, so it may be a small team.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB, and we found no business name to check.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 9, all from July to October 2026, mostly short.

Sutech Electrical Services, Sentul, call or WhatsApp 011-6153 7154. A small team doing mostly house work. Reviewers describe a late-night outage fixed by clearing a short circuit at the main switchboard (March 2026), repeated trips traced to their cause, three lights, a fan and an inverter aircond installed in one visit, and a bedroom short circuit talked through on WhatsApp at 9pm. Its own photos include lights and fans in surface trunking and a three-phase CHINT DB. Its Facebook page lists KL, Batu Caves, Kampung Gombak and Petaling Jaya.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 137, the newest from July to September 2026; the four reviews we read that mention price call it reasonable.

ShanBro Electrician, Sentul, call or WhatsApp 011-2807 9884. An electrician and plumber with two Maps listings on one number, working mostly in homes and condos: DB repairs and a sub-DB added from the main box, call-outs at 1am and 2am, water heaters, fans and lights, plus taps and a bathroom exhaust fan. Many of its photos are time-stamped jobs from 2024 to 2026.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 112 and 4.3 from 16, to be read with care. The five newest on the main listing came within ten days in October 2026, mostly a line or no text. A July 2025 review on the second listing repeats a review of Bersatu Cahaya’s and still names it. And a September 2026 one-star says it replaced the home’s 30mA RCCB with a 300mA one on the power circuits; a photo the same reviewer posted shows a 300mA unit labelled “Power RCCB”. Socket circuits call for 30mA, so check the rating printed on any RCCB fitted.

GE Electrical (“GE Electrical Wiring Power Trip Emergency”), Setapak Jaya, call or WhatsApp 012-247 9761. An emergency house electrician; the business behind it is GELECTR Enterprise. Reviewers describe a midnight outage reached in 30 minutes, a blackout traced to a faulty armoured cable, a faulty ELCB and main isolator replaced in a Rawang house, and a meter-board fault after TNB had said the problem was on the house side. Its photos show three-phase meter boards and a house DB. It’s a different business from GE Electrical Trading, the electrical shop on Jalan Ipoh in Rawang.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. GELECTR Enterprise is CIDB grade G2 and registered with TNB as a works contractor, a supplier registration for TNB’s own contracts, both since mid-2025. Neither is ST’s electrical-contractor registration, so for meter or DB work, ask which ST-registered contractor and wireman will sign it off.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 101, the newest from March to August 2026.

Kamal Wayerman (Jupeter Electrical And Trading), Taman Sri Segambut, call or WhatsApp 017-871 6330. A house electrician working from the same address as an appliance and electrical goods shop (landline 03-6257 2964, Monday to Saturday). Its own photos show sockets and switches replaced (one captioned with its number) and track lights and fans in condos. Reviewers describe a fan replaced (October 2026), dead lights traced and a burnt plug point it came back twice to fix at the cause. The shop’s 2023 ad adds wiring for aircond and water heaters, DB boards and earthing.

  • Register: neither number nor name found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 104, the newest from 14 October 2026. One 2025 review praises a technician from another business, so ask who will come.

K&W World Engineering, Desa Aman Puri, Kepong, call or WhatsApp 016-313 9893 or 016-201 2722. A wiring contractor with an office and a team, advertising mostly in Chinese and English: full-house wiring and rewiring, DBs, points, earthing and TNB submissions, for homes, condos, shops and factories, with a free site inspection in KL and Selangor. Reviewers describe 30-year-old condo wiring replaced as an emergency (December 2024), two new sockets and an MCB fitted by a team of three, and load balancing in a shop. Office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

  • Register: CIDB grade G1, valid. Its Facebook page claims PW4 certification and 25-plus years’ experience, and a group post offers a 10-year wiring warranty: its own claims. Neither number is in ST’s registers, so ask for the wireman’s name and certificate.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 43, the newest we saw from 9 September 2026. Last seen advertising: 7 September 2026, in a Chinese-language renovation group.

Appu Electrical (“Kuala Lumpur PJ Electrical Power Failure 24/7 Service”), Bandar Menjalara, Kepong, call 017-324 0177. A 24-hour electrician for power failures and faults: reviewers had wall sockets fixed, a problem solved within 45 minutes of calling (July 2026) and a fault found in minutes at a property with several DBs (September 2026). Its own photos show a burnt main-breaker connection, burnt TNB cut-outs and a three-phase board; two others, an AI-generated picture and an American fuse panel, aren’t its work.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 16. Three of the five newest have no text, one of them from an account with the electrician’s first name.

Kuala Lumpur central and south: Brickfields, Bukit Jalil and Sungai Besi

All three here have Google Maps listings.

VP EcoWorld Electrical (KL), Brickfields, call or WhatsApp 011-3914 1131 (from its website and Facebook page; the Maps listing has no phone). The KL arm of a 24-hour electrical service based in Masai, Johor. Reviewers on the KL listing describe a night DB trip solved within an hour (September 2026), lights fixed, and a repair explained before the work, at a fair price. Its photos and website lean towards shops, offices and bakery kitchens, and some may be Johor jobs.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB, although its Facebook page claims CIDB and SIRIM certification.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 55, the newest from October 2026; two of the five newest have no text.

LS Electrical & Plumbing (LSKK Venture Sdn Bhd), Bukit Jalil and Taman Sri Gombak, call 019-754 5546 or WhatsApp 012-413 2201. A multi-trade outfit (electrical and plumbing, plus aircond, CCTV, EV chargers and renovation) with two listings. Reviewers describe a water-heater socket that had burnt out, a power trip traced to a burnt rooftop cable to the water heater, loose wires sparking in a DB box, fans and switches replaced, and four lights and a socket fitted in a Cyberjaya home. Photos on the Sri Gombak listing include three-phase house DBs and a house EV charger; the Bukit Jalil listing’s photos are mostly commercial jobs. Its Facebook page lists KL, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Petaling Jaya, Puchong, Cheras, Bangi, Shah Alam and Rawang.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. Its CIDB registrations, for building and civil work only, have expired.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 151 on the Bukit Jalil listing, the newest from August and September 2026, and 4.6 from 10 on the Sri Gombak one, including a one-star review from May 2026 about an inspection postponed at the last minute and never followed up.

KRV Electrical Enterprise, Bandar Razak, Sungai Besi (its Facebook page gives Ampang), call or WhatsApp 016-830 2848. A 24-hour house and condo electrician, and one of the few with prices in its reviews: in a 30-year-old condo with repeated short circuits it quoted RM80 for the inspection and charged RM500 for that plus a new main switch and another part, then RM250 more to fix the wiring in two sockets when the tripping continued (April 2026). Others describe meter tripping, a new water-heater circuit, an aircond switch replaced and a fan installed. Its photos show a new EPS DB, condo lighting and a water heater. The website on its listing doesn’t load.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 89, the newest from June to September 2026.

Cheras, Pandan and Ampang

Iseth, MZ Berkat, M Fairuz, Kejuruteraan Elektrik Pandan, LSC, NZ Zahwa and Syaker have Google Maps listings. SKS, RMA Handyman and ZMK Renovation we found through their Facebook-group ads; RMA and ZMK also have Maps listings.

Iseth Electrical Service, Taman Connaught, Cheras, call 012-663 5900 or WhatsApp 012-681 9513. A DB and power-trip electrician. Reviewers describe a house outage fixed within 50 minutes, a house that tripped three times in two hours given a new DB in place of one almost 20 years old (November 2024), a three-phase house blacked out by a fire at the TNB meter (June 2026), and a DB that kept tripping and burning after another contractor’s work, with the wiring fixed and the DB replaced (August 2026). Its photos include a three-phase Hager DB and water heaters; one advert’s DB is computer-generated. Its website claims more than 20 years in Kajang, but the business it names as owner was registered in 2023.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 28, the newest from August 2026; one of those reads like a list of selling points.

MZ Berkat Bersepadu, Taman Kota Cheras, Batu 9 Cheras, WhatsApp 011-3761 0502 (its Maps listing has no phone). An electrical and aircond company whose Linktree names Kajang, Bangi and Semenyih as its main area. Reviewers describe wiring, sockets and a switch put in by a two-person team (September 2025), a recurring trip checked carefully (May 2026), and lamps fitted and airconds serviced; customers’ photos show its technician at a home DB and a ceiling fan going up. It also offers earthing checks and advice on TNB meter applications. Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm on Maps.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. CIDB grade G1, valid; its only electrical specialisation there is internal telecommunications.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 122, the newest from August 2026.

M Fairuz Electric, Batu 10 Cheras, call or WhatsApp 018-325 8534. Mostly lights, ceiling fans, chandeliers and LED strip lighting in homes, plus house wiring for a repeat customer; we saw no photos of DB or rewiring work. Its office sign is on a small hut that also carries another business’s aircond and appliance-repair banner, which isn’t its own. Weekdays 9am to 5pm on Maps.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. Its CIDB registration, for building and civil work with no electrical category, expired in 2025.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 30, the newest from April to July 2026, posted in clusters (three one-liners within six hours in February), so weigh them lightly.

Kejuruteraan Elektrik Pandan, Pandan Utama, Kampung Pandan Dalam, Ampang, call 03-9200 4012. An electrical contracting company incorporated in 1991, with an office in Pandan Utama. Two reviewers had their houses upgraded from single- to three-phase, one praising its follow-up with TNB; afterwards one had an aircond installed (April 2026) and the other aircond, fans and extra points (August 2026); another found it cheaper than other TNB contractors for urgent late-evening work. Weekdays, 8am to 5.30pm.

  • Register: KEJURUTERAAN ELEKTRIK PANDAN SDN. BHD. is a class C contractor on ST’s register with this number, with two PW4 wiremen among the certificates under its registration; that ran to 30 October 2026 in the 6 October list, so check it’s been renewed. CIDB grade G4, valid, with electrical categories.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 13. The five newest were posted on two days, two of them one-liners.

LSC Home Electrical, Pandan Indah, call 03-9274 1003 or 018-220 0623. A small shop selling LED downlights, track lights and ceiling fans, whose owner also does home repairs: one reviewer had faulty sockets fixed at a reasonable charge (March 2024), and another has used the owner for various electrical problems over several years (July 2026). Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday morning.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. Its CIDB registration, for building and civil work, expired in 2023.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from only 5, two with little or no text.

NZ Zahwa Enterprise (“Wireman Ampang KL selangor”), Ukay Perdana, Ampang, call or WhatsApp 011-6948 1516; the watermark on its photos gives 016-555 0786 as well. A 24-hour house electrician: reviewers describe complicated doorbell wiring sorted out without damage (May 2026), lights and fans fitted through a whole unit (September 2026) and a DB fault that left a house without power, attended within an hour (October 2026). Its photos show a house DB, track lights and an EV charger’s DB being tested, and its adverts in community groups reach Putrajaya, Bandar Sri Damansara and Shah Alam.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 61, the newest from October 2026; two June 2026 reviews use almost the same wording.

Syaker Electrical Maintenance, Kampung Ampang Campuran, Ampang, call 018-350 0460. A one-man electrician for fault-finding in houses and condos, mostly around Ampang. One reviewer’s three-phase house blackout he traced to a burnt fuse at the supply point outside, photographing it so the owner could show TNB nobody had tampered with it (September 2025); another had dead sockets found and fixed. A customer’s photo shows a new Maxguard DB fitted above an old wooden switchboard. Listed as open 24 hours.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 80, but the newest are from March 2026, so check the number still reaches him. A 2020 post on his older Facebook page gave 017-326 8008.

SKS Electrical Empire, WhatsApp 011-6189 2355. A home electrician that says “saya buat kerja elektrik rumah” (I do home electrical work): installing and replacing ceiling fans, fitting lights, changing sockets and switches, checking wiring problems and water-heater wiring. Its flyers add house wiring, CCTV, painting and plumbing, and since late September 2026 its ads also offer cabinets, tiling, plaster ceilings and interior work. The ads don’t mention DB changes, new points or rewiring, so ask before booking a bigger job. It names KL, Cheras, Kajang, Sunway, Puchong, Sentul, Setapak, Gombak, Klang, Nilai and, lately, Sungai Buloh. It advertised as SS Electrical, then for a few days in April 2026 as AKSS Maju Empire, and as SKS Electrical Empire since 19 April, with the same number. Its posts carry designed flyers only, no job photos.

  • Register: not found.
  • Prices: none advertised (“harga berpatutan”).
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026.

RMA Handyman KL, Cheras, WhatsApp 018-468 2703. A handyman business for whom electrical work is one trade among many: about a quarter of its group ads are for electrical repairs and troubleshooting, power trips, lighting, house and office wiring, switch, socket and DB repairs, and water-heater installation; the rest are mostly plumbing, carpentry, aircond and renovation. Its electrician ads carry photos it presents as its work, such as a wall chased for new conduit and a small DB being worked on. Its Google Maps listing gives a condominium address in Taman Connaught and says it’s open 24 hours; expect it to come to you. Its profile lists Cheras, Pudu, Kepong, Sungai Besi, Ampang, Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Kajang and Putrajaya, and its website adds Shah Alam, Puchong and Subang Jaya.

  • Register: not found. Its website says its electrical work is done by “licensed electricians”, its own claim.
  • Reviews: 4.7 from 71 on Google Maps in October 2026. None of the five reviews Google shows is about electrical work; one, from August 2026, found the workmanship poor for the price.
  • Prices: none advertised; its ads offer free quotations.
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026 (a plumbing ad); its last electrician ad we found was 25 September 2026.

ZMK Renovation, Cheras, WhatsApp or call 011-2125 5286. Mainly a handyman and renovation business (plumbing, ceilings, tiling, kitchens). In June 2026 it ran an electrical-only ad for DB installation and repair, new wiring and rewiring, fixing short circuits, and fitting lights, fans and sockets for homes and offices. Its last ad listing electrical work was on 17 September 2026; its ads after that list only plumbing, ceilings and renovation, so ask whether it still takes electrical jobs. Some photos in one of its May ads show workers in another business’s T-shirts, so we couldn’t tell which jobs are its own. Its Maps listing gives a condominium address in Taman Connaught; its profiles list Cheras, KL, Petaling Jaya, Kajang, Ampang, Shah Alam and Putrajaya.

  • Register: not found.
  • Prices: none advertised; free quotations, and it asks for your location and photos or a video of the problem.
  • Last seen advertising: 26 September 2026.

Many handyman and renovation listings give addresses on the same few streets of Taman Connaught, as RMA and ZMK do; treat such an address as a registration address, not a workshop.

Kajang, Bangi and Semenyih

All five here have Google Maps listings. Of the Facebook advertisers, SKS, MZ Technic, RMA and ZMK also name Kajang, and Troubleshooting Hunter has named Bangi. MZ Berkat in Batu 9 Cheras (above) names Kajang, Bangi and Semenyih as its main area.

JT Electrical Service, Taman Kajang Utama, Kajang, call or WhatsApp 011-1148 1603. A late-night fault-finder. Reviewers describe a call-out from 12.30am to 4am after previous wiremen couldn’t fix the problem (December 2025), and a defective RCCB found within an hour in a house with two DBs, with an itemised bill: RM250 to troubleshoot, RM30 transport and RM130 for the new RCCB (July 2025). Its own photos show house DBs, TNB meter checks and an EV wall charger. Google Maps is its only presence we found; it’s listed as open 24 hours.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB. JT Electrical Holdings, an ST-registered contractor in Seri Kembangan, has different numbers, and nothing links it to this business.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 21, the newest from August and September 2026.

Pakar Elektrik Shafwan Engineering, Kampung Teras Jernang, Bangi, with a second listing in Semenyih, call or WhatsApp 010-920 1108. An electrician and plumber who says he does the work himself. Its flyer lists rewiring, earthing and surge protection, troubleshooting trips and high bills, three-phase balancing, DB servicing and water-heater RCBOs. Reviewers describe a melted water-heater switch from a poor installation, a smoking main switch replaced after office hours (October 2026) and a solar system’s wiring checked, with a report. One reviewer paid RM380 for an inspection, called that expensive but the overall charges reasonable (March 2026). It covers Selangor, Putrajaya, KL, Nilai and Negeri Sembilan.

  • Register: it calls itself a “Kontraktor Elektrik”, but neither its number nor its name is in ST’s registers or CIDB. Shafwan Electrical, a registered contractor in Klang with another number, is a different business.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 44, the newest from late September to mid-October 2026. Last seen advertising: 14 October 2026, on its Facebook page, which posts regularly.

HaR Electrical Service, Taman Mesra, Batu 13 Cheras, Kajang, WhatsApp or call 011-2549 0054, from its Facebook page (the Maps listing has no phone); one of its group posts also gives 013-971 0914. An electrical and mechanical works business whose job reviews are two EV charger installations, one with any extra cost raised up front, and a house that often tripped (April 2026). Its photos and its two Pendawai Elektrik posts lean commercial, from switch rooms to spotlights on UKM’s mosque tower, so ask whether it takes small house jobs. Weekdays, and Saturday until 2pm, on Maps.

  • Register: neither its name nor 011-2549 0054 is in ST’s registers or CIDB. 013-971 0914 is listed for a PW4 wireman recorded under another contractor’s registration, a class A contractor in Shah Alam.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 22; those we read are from April to August 2026, several of them one-liners.

FP Pakar Penyelesaian Elektrik, Taman Bukit Cantik, Kajang, call or WhatsApp 012-595 7297. A small troubleshooting business, registered as a business in 2025, for homes and shops in Cheras, Kajang and KL. Its one detailed review: a three-phase house running on two phases because the incoming cable from the TNB meter was burnt, repaired the day after a text message, with the breakers rearranged and tested, a water heater replaced and a fan taken down (June 2026). Its photos show house DBs and heat-damaged breakers. The Maps pin marks only the area; its Facebook page gives Subang Jaya.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from only 5: three were posted within half an hour in December 2025, two by accounts with the same name, and a fourth has no text. A thin signal.

Voltage Wiring Enterprise, Taman Sri Tanjung, Semenyih, call 018-954 4909. A wiring business with two Maps listings on one number and little else online. One reviewer had a double-storey house fully rewired about five years ago, with a second DB and a stronger earth (in Johor, not Semenyih); its own photos show switches and sockets, a meter, CCTV and aircond work at houses. Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm, and Sunday morning on Maps.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from only 5, all from August and September 2026: two have no text, two are about jobs five or six years old, and one reviewer also posted work photos, so may work with it.

Selayang, Sungai Buloh, Rawang and north Selangor

Mantronic, AR Electrical Services’ Selayang base, Alif Team, Kristal Maya and Rawang Wiring Elektrik have Google Maps listings; A&J we found through its Facebook-group ads.

Mantronic Enterprise (“KL Electrician”), Bandar Baru Selayang, Batu Caves, call or WhatsApp 016-205 3105, landline 03-4044 3105. A contractor doing house electrical repairs alongside autogates, CCTV, alarms and aircond. Reviewers describe a water heater that tripped the whole house, fixed and revisited until it heated properly, for one charge (February 2026), and a repeat customer’s fans, lights and a switch fault (May 2026). Its website’s homepage carries another company’s text, so use these numbers. Maps lists 9am to 5pm daily.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. CIDB grade G3 since May 2026, for building and civil work only.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 56, the newest from July 2026. Two August 2024 reviews follow the same template, and one of its photos looks like a stock image.

AR Electrical Services, Selayang, Selayang Pandang, Batu Caves, call or WhatsApp 011-1318 5530. The main base of the business behind AR’s Klang branch (above), which also has listings in Ampang (018-248 6816) and, named “Cheras”, in Semenyih (010-261 5990). Its own photos are mostly repairs and checks: fans tested with meters, an aircond outdoor unit opened up, a socket tester showing a missing earth, and three-phase and commercial boards. Reviewers mention an electronic fault explained and fixed (January 2026) and a technician who looks for fixes that save the customer money.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 18, mostly short. Three arrived on one day in January 2026 and we saw nothing newer, so check it’s still taking jobs here.

Alif Team Engineering (“Elite Electrician 24hr”), Kampung Setia, Gombak, near Sungai Buloh, call or WhatsApp 019-314 0817. A 24-hour team for trips and blackouts. Its website adds DB upgrades with earthing and surge protection and single- or three-phase rewiring, and its Facebook profile has the only full-rewire package price here (see what it should cost). Reviewers describe night calls answered quickly and a fan working again the same night (January to May 2026). It says it covers KL, Selangor and Putrajaya.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB. Alif Engineering, a registered contractor in Johor Bahru with another phone, is a different name; we found nothing linking it to this team.
  • Reviews: 4.7 from 42, but two one-star reviews describe no-shows: a household left without power overnight (June 2026) and two bookings that fell through (August 2026). Its website asks for a deposit before the team sets off, so agree what happens to it if nobody comes.

Kristal Maya Resources, Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh, call or WhatsApp 019-226 6232, office 03-6128 4677. A registered electrical contractor with a first-floor office, staff in branded shirts and starting prices per point on its website (see what it should cost). It covers new-house and renovation wiring, rewiring, adding and moving points (EV chargers among them), DB work, earthing, and TNB meter applications, including single- to three-phase upgrades. Reviewers describe a TNB meter installed at an old house, with updates at every stage (June 2026), and fans and outdoor lights fitted; its photos show its staff fitting meter panels. Its website lists areas from Shah Alam to Kajang. Office hours only: weekdays and Saturday morning.

  • Register: KRISTAL MAYA RESOURCES is a class C contractor on ST’s register, with a PW2 and a PW4 wireman under its registration. CIDB grade G2, valid, including electrical categories.
  • Reviews: 4.7 from 106, the newest from June to October 2026.

Rawang Wiring Elektrik, Bandar Country Homes, Rawang, call or WhatsApp 012-827 2409. A house electrician for Rawang and Bandar Tasik Puteri: house wiring, DB trips, lights and sockets, safety inspections. Reviewers describe emergency call-outs with each step tested and explained, and a trip traced with an insulation-resistance (“Megger”) test (September 2026). Its photos show a Hager RCCB in a three-phase DB and a TNB cut-out, and its YouTube channel posts troubleshooting cases, such as a main switch that had reached 80°C. Listed as open 24 hours; the pin is approximate.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB. “Wiring Elektrik Rawang”, a Facebook page on 014-733 9199, is a different business as far as we can tell.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 43, the newest from September 2026; most are short.

A&J Engineering, WhatsApp 017-275 2714. It says it covers Selangor, the Klang Valley and KL but not where it’s based; its residents’-group ads point to northern Selangor. Mostly an aircond business (servicing, chemical washes, installing new and second-hand units, repairs), whose ad also offers adding plugs, new wiring, house and office wiring, and autogate and garden-light wiring; an image on a shorter ad adds fitting fans and lights. It doesn’t say whether it changes DBs. It’s the most frequent poster among the Facebook advertisers here, several days a week, and copies of its ads appear in residents’ groups for Serendah, Batang Kali–Ulu Yam, Kuala Kubu Bharu and Bandar Tasik Puteri in Rawang. Its photos are mostly airconds, plus a small DB being wired and a building under renovation.

  • Register: neither its number, its name nor the registration number on its business card found.
  • Prices: none advertised (“very reasonable prices”, with a guarantee on its work).
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026.

North of KL, GE Electrical’s reviews include a Rawang house, Kristal Maya and LS Electrical list Rawang, Risha has posted jobs in Gombak and Setapak, MZ Technic has tagged Rawang, SKS names Gombak and Sungai Buloh, and Makwe’s website names Rawang.

Seri Kembangan, Balakong, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Sepang

Mz Quick, 1 Abadi, SC Wireman and Electrical Plumbing Services have Google Maps listings; Troubleshooting Hunter and BDN we found through their Facebook-group ads.

Mz Quick Enterprise, Cyberjaya, call or WhatsApp 018-761 4921. A home-maintenance business that does electrical work alongside aircond, plumbing and handyman jobs. Reviewers describe technicians spending five hours checking a home’s wiring to fix a water heater (June 2026) and a water-heater repair (October 2026); its photos show a three-phase DB, fans, pendant lights and aircond work. Its website says it has more than 20 staff, including “certified” electricians: its own claim. The office address is in a Cyber 12 tower, so book a visit rather than going there. It isn’t MZ Technic Engineering or MZ Berkat Bersepadu, which have different numbers.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 50. The five newest are short, and three were posted on one day (7 October 2026), so the longer reviews tell you more.

1 Abadi Elektrik Engineering & Services, Taman Kota Perdana, Seri Kembangan, call or WhatsApp 019-614 1757. A registered contractor with an office between Puchong, Putrajaya and KL that takes house jobs; its website, last updated in 2021, also lists TNB substation work. One reviewer’s DB was upgraded from single to three phase, with the business liaising with TNB, in about three hours (December 2025); others had a tripped house fixed quickly. Its Facebook price list covers small jobs and TNB applications (see what it should cost). It lists Cyberjaya, Puchong, KL and Putrajaya; office hours on weekdays and Saturday.

  • Register: 1 ABADI ELEKTRIK ENGINEERING & SERVICES is a class C contractor on ST’s register; CIDB grade G3. Its mobile is listed for a PW4 wireman (also a B0 chargeman) recorded under another contractor’s registration, so ask who will do and sign off your job.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from only 5, the newest from December 2025.

SC Wireman (SC Electrical Enterprise), Kampung Baru Balakong, call 018-296 8808 or call or WhatsApp 010-963 1622. A home electrician with four Maps listings named for Balakong, Puchong, Bukit Jalil and Seri Kembangan; treat them as service areas. Reviewers describe a DB upgrade with wiring, fans and lights (July 2026) and one faulty socket found where the customer expected to need a new panel (August 2026); its photos show a house DB with Himel breakers and a surge protector, and water heaters. A fifth listing, “EV CHARGER INSTALLER”, uses its address but links another company’s website, so ask whose it is before booking a charger.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers. CIDB grade G2 since May 2026, for building and civil work only.
  • Reviews: 5.0 from 19, 7, 4 and 2 on the four listings. A few accounts reviewed two to four of them within minutes in May 2026, one with the same text on all four; other accounts’ reviews on the Balakong listing are the specific ones.

Electrical Plumbing Services, Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan, call or WhatsApp 011-3661 7871. An electrician who also does plumbing. Reviewers describe a wiring fault traced to the looping (December 2024), a DB installed (May 2025) and the 16mm cables from the TNB meter to the DB reinstalled in a two-storey building (January 2026); its photos show an older house DB and larger boards, and some workshop jobs. Listed as open 24 hours.

  • Register: not found in ST’s registers or CIDB; the listing gives no business name to check.
  • Reviews: 4.2 from 11. A one-star review (April 2026) says the reviewer paid up front for emergency lights and exit signs and no work followed, so agree payments in writing.

Troubleshooting Hunter Electrical, call or WhatsApp 011-6419 9064. A fault-finding service: tripping RCCBs and ELCBs, leakage, short circuits, blackouts with a 24-hour standby, unexplained high bills, full wiring inspections, earthing and earth-resistance tests, surge protection devices, RCBOs for water heaters and three-phase balancing, plus new wiring and, since September 2026, extra points and wiring changes. It describes its method as inspection, circuit tracing, voltage and current measurement, and insulation, continuity and polarity tests, and its photos include before-and-after insulation readings on a DB. In an October 2026 post it says a house owner had been told the house needed rewiring for about RM20,000, and its tests traced the tripping to a leaking fridge; that’s its own account. Its recent ads name Sepang, Kota Warisan, Salak Tinggi, Cyberjaya, Seremban 2 and Sendayan, and one adds Bangi and Putrajaya; earlier ads covered Nilai, Dengkil and the rest of Negeri Sembilan.

  • Register: 011-6419 9064 is listed in ST’s register of competent persons for a chargeman grade A1 (valid to April 2027). Neither the number nor the name is on the contractor register. A chargeman certificate is for operating and taking charge of installations, not a wiring grade, so for new wiring or a DB change, ask which registered wireman will test and sign it off.
  • Prices: a DB servicing visit for RM150 over Hari Raya 2026, which it called half its usual RM299 (January–February 2026 ads): inspecting the DB, tightening loose connections, checking the RCCB and MCBs, cleaning and a safety test, parts not included. Other ads ask you to WhatsApp for a price.
  • Last seen advertising: 4 October 2026.

BDN Elektrikal (Khidmat Elektrik KL), WhatsApp 011-2557 3676. It advertised across KL, Selangor, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya (its flyers add Negeri Sembilan): points for fans, lights, sockets, aircond and water heaters, whole-house wiring, changing or installing main and sub DBs, changing MCBs, RCCBs and main switches, tripping on single- or three-phase supply, short circuits, and fitting lights, fans, doorbells and water pumps. In June and July 2026 it offered a free check from photos you send of hot sockets, trips, shocks or a burning smell. Some of its flyers carry other business names (Excel Electrical Services, Pakarkilat Elektrik, BDN Engineering), so ask which business you’re dealing with. Its photos include an extra socket fed by conduit from an existing one, and replaced fans and fittings.

  • Register: 011-2557 3676 is listed in ST’s register of competent persons for a chargeman grade A0, for low-voltage systems (valid to February 2027). We found no wireman listing for its numbers, and neither its numbers nor its names are on the contractor register. Its flyers call its electricians “qualified” and “licensed”; that’s its own claim.
  • Prices: a new socket point run to where you need it from RM80, same day (July 2026 flyer). Ask what that includes: cable length, casing and the socket itself.
  • Last seen advertising: 18 July 2026, and the Facebook page on its flyers wasn’t available in October 2026, so check it’s still taking jobs. Its Facebook profile also gives 011-1894 4852.

Across Selangor and KL

These five, all found through their Facebook-group ads, don’t advertise a base town and take jobs across the Klang Valley, so tell them your area first.

Risha Electrical & Wiring Renovation Enterprise, call or WhatsApp 016-319 5137. A wiring business, and the only one of the Facebook advertisers with EV charger installation in its ads: its flyer offers EV and wallbox chargers with checks before installation, alongside house wiring and rewiring, extra points and sockets, DB and MCB installation, earthing, troubleshooting, wiring for renovations, aircond points, CCTV and renovation work. Its job posts name Petaling Jaya, Klang, Puchong, a house rewiring in Shah Alam, a DB change in KL, Gombak, Setapak, wiring and a plaster ceiling in Cheras, and an EV charger in Subang Jaya; its flyer adds Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan. Most job posts carry photos of the work, including DBs, ceilings with fans and lights, and an EV wallbox. Its flyer says the work is done by a certified electrician, its own statement. Since September 2026 it has also advertised raising water pressure without a pump.

  • Register: not found.
  • Prices: none advertised.
  • Last seen advertising: 5 October 2026 (water pressure); its last electrical ad was 21 September 2026.

AZ Electrical & Wiring Enterprise, WhatsApp 011-1072 2570. It leads with replacing old DBs and upgrading DBs, single- and three-phase, for homes, shops and factories, plus new wiring, repairing and troubleshooting wiring, switches and plugs, lights, fans and CCTV. Its May 2026 flyer adds wiring inspections, extra plugs, water heaters, aircond points and upgrading a supply from single- to three-phase. It names Selangor, KL, Seremban and Putrajaya. It’s not the AZ Electrical & Wiring page in Gombak and Batu Caves on 011-1726 6454; we found no link between the two.

  • Register: not found under either number or its name. A three-phase upgrade needs an application to TNB through a registered contractor, so ask who will submit it.
  • Prices: every ad says labour “from RM30”, without a price for any particular job.
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026, on 6 to 21 days a month all year. Its flyer from January to May 2026 also gave 011-2067 6979.

Fiqman Electrical, WhatsApp 011-2568 8621. Homes, offices and shops across Selangor, KL and Putrajaya: adding or moving points, sockets and switches, lights and fans, water heaters, changing or updating the DB box, MCBs or DBs that keep tripping, renewing and repairing wiring, troubleshooting, and checking RCBOs. Its flyers carry a “certified wireman” badge. It has posted no job photos, only flyers, so ask for photos of recent work.

  • Register: not found. Since it advertises as a certified wireman, ask for the wireman’s name and ST certificate number and check it.
  • Prices: none advertised; negotiable.
  • Last seen advertising: 9 October 2026, about seven times a month since August.

MZ Technic Engineering, WhatsApp 012-718 0543. Wiring and aircond: wiring for homes and offices, adding sockets, fitting fans, lights and water heaters, installing appliances, troubleshooting electrical and aircond problems, and aircond installation and servicing. It doesn’t mention DB work. Its hashtags have named Selangor, Rawang, Shah Alam, Kajang, Puncak Alam and KL, and its ads also appear in residents’ groups such as Bandar Saujana Putra’s. Its photos show a switch moved and a new point added for track lights, rows of new sockets, a cable run chased up a staircase wall, and aircond installs.

  • Register: not found.
  • Prices: none advertised.
  • Last seen advertising: 8 October 2026, 3 to 11 posts a month.

Esone Legacy, WhatsApp 011-3903 9937. A handyman and renovation business around KL and Selangor whose ad lists wiring among renovation, house building, plumbing, roofs, awnings and grilles, without saying what the wiring covers. Its TikTok service list, as Google shows it, mentions running new points and fitting and upgrading old DBs, and two of its photos show electrical work: a DB being fitted and an old wooden switchboard. Ask whether it does the wiring itself before booking.

  • Register: not found.
  • Prices: none advertised.
  • Last seen advertising: its last ad was on 9 September 2026; it replied to a request with the same ad on 6 October.

Where to post a request

We haven’t collected the Klang Valley’s local groups yet, so this part is general advice rather than a ranked list like the one in our JB guide. A request post usually works better than scrolling ads, and electricians answer them quickly: in Pendawai Elektrik, a Cheras homeowner’s request for a registered contractor to fix tripping, change a DB and add aircond and water-heater points drew more than 50 replies with numbers, and a Gombak request for someone to inspect a contractor’s work drew 32 replies out of 42. Almost all such replies are people advertising themselves, so treat them as candidates, not recommendations.

For a small job, your own residents’ group is often the better place, because someone nearby doesn’t need to charge for an hour’s drive. The Facebook advertisers above also post in groups such as KL and Selangor Electricians, Tukang Rumah Malaysia and residents’ groups from Rawang to Bandar Saujana Putra. Say what the job is (“tukar DB single phase”, “tambah point aircond”, “ELCB selalu trip bila hujan”), your taman and town, add a photo of your DB or the problem, say whether you’re buying the materials yourself, and ask for a WhatsApp quote. Our guide to hiring an electrician covers call-out fees, quotes and payment stages in more detail.

Checking someone in ST’s register

ST publishes its lists of registered competent persons (wiremen, chargemen and so on) and registered electrical contractors. Pick the ST area office (Pejabat Kawasan) for your part of KL or Selangor, run the search (Cari) and look for the person’s name, company or phone number. A person’s entry shows the certificate grade, phone, company registration number and expiry date; a contractor’s shows its class, phone and validity. Only current registrations are listed.

  • PW2 is the wireman grade for single-phase installations, with the endorsement to test them: the usual grade for home wiring and DB work.
  • PW4 covers three-phase installations as well as single-phase. PW4 holders are qualified for a house job, though many mostly do three-phase and industrial work.
  • Chargeman grades (A0, A1, A4, B0 and so on) are for operating and looking after installations, not a wiring grade.
  • A registered electrical contractor is a company, in classes A to D. TNB’s three-phase application has to go through one.

Here’s how the 57 on this page matched. Seven are registered contractors: Makwe, Civasakthi, Kristal Maya, 1 Abadi, Bersatu Cahaya, Nathan and Kejuruteraan Elektrik Pandan. Among them, Makwe’s main number belongs to a PW2 wireman and Bersatu Cahaya’s Maps number to a PW4 wireman, both under their own registrations, while 1 Abadi’s mobile belongs to a PW4 wireman recorded under another contractor’s, and Kejuruteraan Elektrik Pandan’s office line also appears on one of its own staff’s certificates. Five more aren’t registered contractors but have a number that belongs to a registered person: Amtrixx (a PW2 wireman) and HaR (a PW4 wireman, the second number on one of its posts), both under other contractors’ registrations, and three chargemen, Troubleshooting Hunter (A1), BDN (A0) and Power Voltage (A4, under Bersatu Cahaya’s registration). The other 45 didn’t match by name or number.

The register records credentials, not who wants house jobs, what they charge or whether they answer. A wireman can be registered under his own name and another phone, or work under someone else’s contractor registration, so “not found” doesn’t mean nobody registered does the work. The reverse holds too: a registered contractor isn’t necessarily set up for small house jobs. When we tested hiring from the register alone in Johor, most of the wiremen didn’t reply, and many were plainly salaried staff of specialist firms. So find people where they advertise or where customers review them, then ask the ones you’re considering who will do, test and sign off the job, and check that name. Our wireman and chargeman certificate guide explains the grades in full.

What it should cost

Five businesses here publish prices, two of them only a package or a “from” figure; a few reviewers wrote down what they paid, and some Facebook advertisers give “from” prices. They’re each business’s own offer, not a benchmark:

BusinessPricesWhere from
Kristal MayaNew points from: downlight (looped) RM90, light RM110, 13A socket RM160 (RM280 run direct from the DB), fan or exhaust fan RM180, aircond or water heater RM280 in 2.5mm² cable or RM380 in 4mm². Fitting at an existing point from RM30 a light, RM40 a fan, RM150 a water heater. Earthing with two copper rods from RM600Its website; its August 2026 Facebook post repeats the point prices
1 AbadiLight installation from RM15, fan from RM30, doorbell RM30, water heater RM80, wiring (lights, sockets) from RM50, wiring inspection from RM200, earthing from RM600, new TNB meter application RM600, supply upgrade application RM800Undated pinned Facebook post
AmtrixxDB box upgrade (EPS) RM899 single row, RM3,999 double, RM4,999 triple; earthing RM899 (two rods) to RM2,999 (more rods, a report and a surge protector); TNB meter application RM1,599 single-phase, RM3,999 three-phaseIts website, October 2026
Alif TeamFull rewiring of a single-storey terrace house (about 1,300–1,500 sq ft), concealed with hacking and plastering: a 12-way steel DB with RCCBs, 14 light points, 7 fans, 18 sockets, 2 water heaters on a 10mA RCCB and 5 aircond points, with testing, from RM31,000–34,000; RM4,000 less in surface trunking. A starting price that depends on points and cable runsIts Facebook profile, October 2026
SC Wireman“From RM70”; it quotes by WhatsApp and publishes no price listIts website
KRVRM80 inspection; RM500 for that plus a new main switch and one other part; RM250 more to fix two sockets’ wiringOne review, April 2026
JT ElectricalRM250 to troubleshoot a house with two DBs, RM30 transport, RM130 for a replacement RCCBOne review, July 2025
ShafwanRM380 for an inspection, which the reviewer found expensiveOne review, March 2026
Facebook advertisersMakwe: lights fitted from RM30 (February 2026). AZ: labour from RM30. BDN: a new socket point from RM80 (July 2026). Troubleshooting Hunter: a DB servicing visit for RM150, usually RM299, parts extra (early 2026)Their ads

Here’s what electricians and homeowners shared in Malaysian wiring groups in 2025–2026, to compare them against: reported and advertised figures, not a survey, mostly from outside the Klang Valley unless marked. Distance from the DB, concealed versus surface wiring and cable brand all move them. Our house wiring prices guide has the detail.

JobTypical reported price
Replace a small single-phase DB, all new partsRM350–500 most common (about RM300–600; metal box about RM600)
Upsize a full DB to a two-row boardMostly RM500–900; KL and Selangor answers about RM700–950, or about RM500 labour only (July 2026)
Replace an old three-phase DB with new partsRoughly double the single-phase price; quotes of RM1,100 (with a surge arrester, plus transport) and RM1,500
Light or fan point (supply and install)RM80–130
13A socket pointRM100–200
Aircond pointRM150–380 (4mm² cable at the top end)
Water-heater pointRM180–450 advertised; one 2026 quote put a “spec” point (4mm² cable plus an RCBO) at RM580, against RM250 for a basic one. ST’s guideline calls for 4mm² cable and a 10mA RCBO
Troubleshooting a tripping houseSingle replies in a 2026 thread, no consensus: RM150–250 and RM300–800 single-phase, RM250–1,500 three-phase, and one Shah Alam/Klang reply of RM50–90; parts extra. KL/Selangor ads offered “troubleshooting from RM80” (July 2026)
Single- to three-phase upgrade, all inMostly RM2,000–4,000, including TNB’s connection charge (RM300 overhead, RM1,250 underground); underground jobs up to RM3,000–5,000

A few things stand out. Most of Kristal Maya’s point prices sit inside the ranges people report; its fan point (RM180) and a socket run direct from the DB (RM280) are above them. Amtrixx’s RM899 single-row upgrade (a 12- to 21-way EPS board, by its website) is at the top of the RM500–900 people report for a bigger board, and its RM3,999 double-row price is far above anything reported, so ask what each includes. For finding a fault, reviewers were quoted RM80 at one end and paid RM380 at the other. Amtrixx’s TNB packages mention a 10mm cable, but neither its nor 1 Abadi’s application prices say whether a new DB or TNB’s own connection charge is included, and those are part of what the RM2,000–4,000 all-in figures cover, so get the whole job quoted. “From” prices usually mean the easiest case or labour only.

Alif Team’s package is the only full-rewire price here, and it’s high against point rates. At one contractor’s concealed-wiring rates in our house wiring prices guide, its 46 points come to roughly RM7,000–9,000; adding hacking and plastering at RM50–70 a point and a new DB at RM350–900 (the table above) gives about RM9,500–13,000, well under half its starting price. Its surface-trunking price, RM27,000–30,000, is about three times the RM9,000-plus a Sungai Petani owner paid to rewire a single-storey semi-D in surface casing, a job the owner then complained about (see our power points guide). A rewire also means stripping out the old wiring, which point rates don’t cover, but get rival quotes for the same point count and finish before you decide.

We don’t have a benchmark for EV charger installation. Several businesses here do it, none with a published price: get the quote itemised (charger, cable run, breaker and protection, and whether your supply needs upgrading), and see our single- vs three-phase guide for when a charger pushes you towards three-phase. We also have no Klang Valley figure for night call-outs. Many listings here say they’re open 24 hours, which doesn’t tell you the night rate: ask before anyone comes.

Before you agree to the job

  • Get a written, itemised quote. For a DB: the box (brand and number of ways), main switch, RCCBs and their sensitivity, MCBs and RCBOs, and whether a surge protector is included. A cheap “DB change” can be just a new cover over the old breakers. Afterwards, check the ratings printed on the RCCBs: one reviewer here found a 300mA unit on socket circuits that call for 30mA. See whether you need to replace your DB.
  • Ask what the visit costs, including any night or emergency rate, and whether it’s deducted if you go ahead. Several businesses here offer free quotations or a free check, but confirm it.
  • For tripping, describe the symptom first: when it trips, which breaker goes, whether it happens in rain. Our RCCB tripping guide explains the usual causes, so you can tell a fault-finding visit from an unnecessary rewire.
  • Check cable sizes and tests. Ask what cable each aircond and water-heater point gets (see the water heater RCBO guide), and whether insulation, RCD and earth tests are included, like the readings below.
  • Agree the time and who comes. Several businesses here send different technicians or work from several branch listings, and a few reviews mention missed or postponed appointments.
  • Agree the deposit in writing. Contractors in the groups ask for anything from 30% to 70% up front; pay in stages tied to finished work. One-star reviews of two businesses here describe a booked team that never came and a payment made up front for work that was never done.
  • Prefer recent activity. Someone with reviews or ads this month is more likely to answer than a number from an old post.

For adding sockets and lights, our guide to adding and moving power points covers looping versus a new point from the DB; for earth rods and surge protectors, see home earthing and surge protection; and for a new supply or a meter problem, the TNB meter guide explains what TNB charges and what the contractor does.
